Chapter 006

Arnold set foot at The Diamond Rose Hotel. Seeing his arrival, the hotel workers' eyes fell on him. They started whispering to each other and laughing at Arnold.

“Look at that loser; he has no shame in coming to this hotel again. What does he want to do?”

"Look, isn't he the man who ruined Victor Galvoir's proposal last night?"

“Yeah, you're right. He was the one. What happened to him? Why is his hand bandaged?”

"If I were that woman, I would also choose Victor instead of spending my life with a loser."

Laughter could be heard from various corners. Arnold's eyes glanced sharply at them, and the workers just covered their mouths with their palms while holding back laughter. There was no fear of a loser like Arnold.

Arnold rushed to the reception desk so he could meet the manager. He wanted to prove that he could pay the fine, even though the hotel was still owned by his family.

Arriving in front of the reception desk, there were a couple who were being served by the receptionist. Judging from their appearance, they came from the upper class. The woman even carried a limited-edition Hermes bag. They asked the receptionist, and she answered with joy and a smile that never left her lips.

When they left and the receptionist saw Arnold, her expression suddenly changed.

“Excuse me, I—”

"What are you doing here?" The receptionist interrupted Arnold before the man finished his sentence. She looked at Arnold sharply and scanned his appearance.

Arnold wore clothes given to him by his grandmother. They were expensive clothes, but with hidden brand labels. The old money usually wears that brand of clothing.

'I think he used all his savings to buy these clothes. These clothes are neater and look expensive. Or maybe he bought it at a black thrift market,' thought the receptionist.

"Excuse me, I came here to meet the hotel manager who took care of last night's event," Arnold said in a higher voice.

“For what? Do you still have unfinished business? Oh yeah, you didn't get paid for your bad work last night. You've ruined an important event for someone like Victor Galvoir and made him angry," she quipped, rolling her eyes.

“I didn't come here to collect my salary. I came here to pay the fine!” Arnold replied in a firm voice.

The receptionist snorted. Her hand reached for the telephone receiver, but before she could make a call, the manager's arrival distracted them.

"There he is. You can talk to him," said the receptionist scornfully.

The manager grinned when he saw Arnold. The hotel was not very busy that afternoon, so the workers around there witnessed what Arnold was going to do.

Arnold's eyes thinned, and his facial expression looked annoyed with the attitude of the hotel workers who looked down on him.

The manager folded his hands across his stomach while snorting. "So, have you got the money to pay the fine?" he asked in a teasing tone.

"Of course. I came here to pay for that," answered Arnold. His eyes filled with anger, but he tried to calm himself down.

Instead of letting Arnold immediately pay the fine, the manager asked something offended.

“Where did you get that much money? I was suspicious looking at your bandaged hands; who knows, maybe you just stole and were beaten by people."

The workers laughed at Arnold.

“Watch your mouth!” Arnold exclaimed.

“Wow, how dare you! Who do you think you are?”

Arnold snorted, and a grin appeared at the corner of his lips. "I warn you that if you continue to try my patience, I will make sure that you will be fired from your job!" he threatened as he pointed his left finger. His eyes bulged with all the anger reflected in them.

"What are you saying?" The manager chuckled at Arnold's threat. “Who do you think you are? The heir to the family that owns this hotel?”

Arnold looked at the manager sharply, and without saying anything, he immediately took out a card from his wallet.

“Don't waste my time! Hurry, I want to pay the fine!” Arnold protested. Seeing Arnold's serious expression, the manager gave him the opportunity to pay.

"Okay, let's go to the reception desk."

Apart from the receptionist who was indifferent to Arnold earlier, there was another receptionist who had just arrived there. She smiled when she saw Arnold's arrival.

"Good afternoon. What can we assist you, Sir?" she greeted Arnold.

"You don't need to be friendly with him; he's just a loser who ruined Victor Galvoir's proposal last night," replied another receptionist.

"I want to pay a fine of 5,000 dollars," said Arnold as he handed over his card.

Even so, the other receptionist's attitude did not change. She accepted Arnold's card with a smile. Before swiping Arnold's card into the EDC machine, she looked at the card and saw that the design of the card was not like cards in general. It looked so exclusive and was certainly not owned by just anyone.

The payment was successful. The receptionist handed Arnold's card back. "Thank you, sir."

“Can I borrow a telephone from this hotel?” asked Arnold.

The manager and a receptionist did not want to accommodate Arnold's wish, but the friendly receptionist immediately agreed to Arnold's request.

“Of course, sir. Who do you want to call?”

Arnold handed her a piece of paper containing Sebastian's number. He wanted to contact the old man and report the hotel manager.

"Okay sir." The receptionist called the number, and the phone was connected.

"It is sir; the phone is connected." The receptionist gave the phone to Arnold.

“Sebastian, it's me, Arnold. I want the manager of The Diamond Rose Hotel named Dimitri to be fired right now!" Arnold ordered while glancing at the manager's name tag.

"Alright, young master. As you wish."

Arnold ended the call. The manager and a receptionist immediately laughed when they heard Arnold's order.

“Who is Sebastian? Is he your friend?” The manager teased.

"Just wait and see!" Arnold stepped out of the hotel.

Not even 5 minutes before Arnold left the hotel, the manager's cell phone suddenly rang as he returned to his room. He took out his cell phone and saw that the person calling him was the general manager.

"Good afternoon, sir," said the manager.

"Dimitri, from this moment on, you are no longer the manager at The Diamond Rose Hotel. You have officially been fired!”

The general manager's words were like lightning that struck him in broad daylight. His head was spinning wildly. He felt he had done nothing wrong.

“But why, sir? I didn't do anything wrong.”

"You stupid! You have made a fatal mistake. You've made Young Master Winster angry. No forgiveness for you!” The general manager immediately hung up the phone unilaterally.

The manager's phone slipped from his hand. His mouth opened agape, and he realized something. “Young Master Winster? Is that loser Young Master Winster?”
