Lunging down, Yunzheng gathered part of the energy into his hands as he recalled a fist technique. Yet, in midair, he saw one of the liquid-like limbs fly in his direction even though he should be at the man's blind spot.
With his instinct screaming at him, Yunzheng sent the punch right at the tip of the limb and felt as if he was hitting a plate of steel. Using the little rebound of their confrontation, he flipped his body and gained more distance from his target. Still, the latter appeared to have expected the scenario and won't let him go so easily.
Two more semi transparent tentacles went their ways to stab him. In the short period of time and a brief glance, Yunzheng tried to twist his body and dodge, but they still grazed the right side of his waist and left shoulder.
Bleeding, he rushed to his opponent with the fastest speed he could muster. The world turned into a crawl and he noticed the scowl of the super, who was at least six feet tall, wearing white shirt with black jacket on top and a black cargo pants.
He was bald and there was some sort of winged tattoo symbol on his forehead. His features alone told Yunzheng that the man's foreigner, Caucasian. But what attracted Yunzheng the most were the slight twitch of a bulged vein on his neck and the side of forehead while his eyes were fixated towards Yuzzheng, following his every move.
Before he could ponder, however, four more tentacles from the man's back were aimed at him. Despite his sharpened senses and movements, he could see those limbs were just as fast as him. In this slowed space, Yunzheg tried to avoid each strike of the limb. Those that he couldn't dodge, he had to brace them up with his own forearms, reinforcing both to his fullest ability lest they would be chopped off like a tofu.
Now their distance was an arm's length away and Yunzheng couldn't miss out the opportunity. He reached out his palm and some sort of vacuum gathered before he unleashed it at the man's chest.
To his surprise, he felt like he had struck the water surface, it gave no resistance and little impact. His condensed energy also burst out of the man's back while the latter grinning, throwing a quick jab at Yunzheng's nose before he yelped in pain instead.
Nonetheless, Yunzheng still felt the trace of power contained in that fist. It made him almost flinch as he swept in a kick at the man's guts. This time unguarded, the man took the blow directly, reeling backwards with shock displaying at his grimace face.
Unexpectedly, the limb-like liquids fell apart at the same time, becoming nothing more than splashing puddles on the ground. Seeing his chance, Yunzheng followed by sending a straight fist to the man's mug, which passed through with the man's head morphed into a ball of water.
Before Yunzheng could withdraw, a sharp tingle spread all over his hand and subconsciously, he wholly focused his energy to reinforce it.
With enough time and effort, Yunzheng pulled his hand out. Anger flashed in his gaze and he felt his blood boil. In just the first day of his resurrection, he almost lost his dominant hand. If it was the past he could deal with hundreds of opponents of this caliber.
This won't do. The Crimson Tempest shouldn't be this weak.
As if screaming out his rage and annoyance, Yunzheng lunged at the man and spared no energy, bringing out every flow and drop within for a quick burst of power. His action didn't disappoint him, for after he executed half of the might of his movement steps, along with a few blows of punching technique, he found his opponent battered in seconds. Unable to react fast enough for him.
Just right he twisted the man's neck, bringing a good closure to the fight, he felt a heavy sense of drowsiness spreading inside. To the point he had to stand straight, if not for the fact that his mental fortitude was already polished from decades of battles and life experiences.
Despite the arduous steps, he still walked to the corpse and placed his hand at the man's forehead. Executing the absorbing technique, Yunzheng felt the surge of energy pouring to him, like a rain to dry desert and he took them all like a sponge.
His attention deprived body felt as boisterous as ever and the injuries he had were slowly healing too. If it wasn't for Yunzheng not bothering to use a technique specialized in healing, he would be healthy in no less than a minute.
Time passed and before Yunzheng knew it, turbid air was exhaled out of his mouth and he felt the swirling energy within, surrounding his filled Dantian and ran amok inside his body.
"...Superb."
That was the only word Yunzheng could say to describe this feeling. He was all set to go to the next level. However, he might need to leave the wrecked crime scene before things start to become troublesome.
A single jump was all it took for him to get to the rooftop, feeling he was more than riding the wind, he was the wind itself. He couldn't feel lighter anymore and it was a weird thought, considering this was something that wasn't worth mentioning back when he was in the cultivation world.
As he didn't hear any students yet, he went for at least ten miles away until he stopped, afraid that he might waste too much energy in just running. A problem that shouldn't have crossed his mind before. A sigh came out and he shook his head, dispelling the stray notions and focused on his current next task.
The Core Crystallization cycle, the next realm of Physical Strengthening, here he goes.

Adjusting his senses to the surroundings, he found himself laid on a cold floor and an almost empty room with only a single bucket could be spotted on one of the edges. One side of the walls was clear glass, where he sighted a man in uniform who sat on a chair while he fiddled with his exwatch. Oblivious to Yunzheng's state for his attention wholly focused on another thing and beside him, a table with a few sorts of things such as a plate of piled chips, cards, a glass that held what seemed to be half filled coffee, and a paper. Yunzheng rubbed his glabella and let out a soft groan when the circumstances finally sunken into his mind. He got captured, that much was obvious but what vexed him would be how he couldn't even guard against whatever skill that man with a mask thrown at him. A bizarre sight even for Yunzheng as he saw the moving smoke coming from Gilbert and entered through the orifices of a full grown man. As if he couldn't breathe, the man held his neck, choking and his eyes bulged out until at last, he slumped to the ground. Eyes rolled backwards while Gilbert landed with a hop. [A Side Task has Appeared!] [Side Task : Escape the building with Gilbert's help in less than an hour! Rewards : Gilbert's level +5Failure : Suspend Gilbert for a few weeks.]Skimming through the notification, another shout ensued. This time, it sounded familiar and when Yunzheng glanced at the direction of the voice, there was a struggle between a full grown man and a cat which he couldn't touch. "You cannot be so rough to the soon-to-be noble, nya!"With its feet materialized out of the drifting smoke, Gilbert clawed the man's mask and knocked it away. The scarred feature had been displayed for the world to see and the man tried to cover his face with his hand. Still, th

While Yunzheng rode the wind in his wake, many kinds of thoughts raced in his head and some of them were just as he had expected. Recalling the brief moment he had when browsing through the document of his family back then, there was another piece of information that stated he was among the deceased. The official statement said how his entire body was devoured by Hofgast, the name of the gigantic monster back then which devastated a group of soldiers with ease. Information they gathered from some random witnesses on the scene and not to mention he was missing for all this time, it wasn't wrong for the government to declare him dead. That gave birth to a question which he was dying to know of. Whose body he was using right now? Through the reflection of glass that he had seen before, his face definitely looked like him, same height and same birthmark, a little mole right on his neck. Granted that his body was a little sluggish now than before, but that was because his body hadn't reta

When the cloud of dust scattered around, Yunzheng rushed with a palm open wide. Before the boy could react, the strike hit him right on his neck as he subconsciously choked in response before Yunzheng went to execute a few sets of punching moves in a single breath. Each strike felt like a hammer, which made the boy both confused and bewildered, seeing how his gigantic state should lessen the strength behind the impact. Unable to keep up with Yunzheng's pace, the boy threw a wide sweep of his hand in hope to bash through his foe. Unfortunately, Yunzheng easily ducked and then leapt to grab his opponent's neck. In a blink of an eye, a surge of life force flowed from the boy to Yunzheng, causing the former to return to his normal form as he struggled free of the iron grip. In a short amount of time, the abundant and boundless strength seeped away from his limbs and the boy felt deep despair within. Before his arms could fall in weakness, Yunzheng took back his hand. Half an hour after he barged through the mansion and wreaked havoc by himself, Yunzheng gained a considerable amount of energy as his cultivation almost reached its peak. Sometimes, he would spot other guardians that would fight in a group or two but Yunzheng immediately ignored them and went for another location. As he progressed forward, the notifications about Gilbert gaining more levels appeared in his view, causing him to smile a little even in the middle of battle. So far, what he had faced was supers that were either around rank C and B, with most seemed to be in the rank D but their ability was more diverse and unsuited for combat, such as wall climbing, tougher bones, spurting inks out of their hands. While getting closer to the main location of the raid, Yunzhenh also saw more B and A rank supers. If before there were only a couple or so of them, now it has turned into a group of ten. He had to even use his formation flags to fight and even ground with them. Fortunately,

When Wang Mei and the rest finally arrived inside the mansion, some of them widened their eyes at the big pool of blood and guts decorating the place. One of them even murmured the word crazy and truthfully, Wang Mei had to agree. They were supposed to capture these criminals, no matter how heinous their actions were. Yet, one person turned this battlefield into a bloodbath. The scene was disheartening to see. Rumors of Yunzheng's ability or martial arts were heavily linked into something like a vampire or Dracula spread around, especially when there was a strange corpse of a super in the courtyard. Wang Mei commented nothing on the matter and kept marching on. There would be a group of people that would deal with this mess or aftermath. "Wait, there's a kid!"That shout caught half of the guardians attention as they approached to see the situation. A little girl, who seemed to not be older than sixteen, was lying on the ground in a ball. Clutching her stomach as she closed her eye

As his sword swiftly cleaved through the mobs, a gigantic statue was thrown to him, prompting him to execute his movement technique and avoiding it entirely. The ground shook and the statue crushed some of the mobs. Emerging from the cloud of dust were a few guardians, suffering no injuries except some tears on their clothes. A loud snort echoed throughout the vast courtyard and a giant shadow loomed over the battlefield. At the same time, hundreds of clones with the same face were shooting back bullets towards the guardians, as if they were facing an army instead of a criminal organization."It's an A rank, duplication skill, Xen Wu. Find his real body and kill him!"A guardian shouted out as he conjured a transparent wall, making the bullets passing through them to become as slow as snails. Meanwhile, another Guardian rushed forward, both of his hands morphed into one and half meters steel claws and sliced through the clones and the bullets. Giant vines and branches sprouting out

It was as obvious as the day that this new colleague of his was trying to show his dominance in seniority. Strangely, he tried to focus his attention to Yunzheng but there were instances when the man would secretly take a peek at Wang Mei who was sitting quietly at the corner, watching the passing scenery in the window. A scorching pain followed him in every step he took. His ragged breath formed into icy mist and his body shriveled at the faintest breeze. Strength leaving him as time passed and the roaring of his stomach was what echoed the most throughout the road. He had lost the sensation of his legs for a while. Even maintaining his open eyes gave him an effort he never knew existed. The only fuel that prompted him forward was the faces of his family back home. One and only wish he held dear, to come back and to not become a cold corpse in a foreign land he never heard of. When Wang Mei walked to the lift that led her to Kim YoSoo's office, she couldn't help but frown and wondered what kind of matter it would be since usually, Chou Wen would be the chosen one to attend the briefings. She knocked a few times until there was a reply. When she turned the doorknob and was about to enter, she noticed a man's face who made her rooted on the spot. "It's you!" subconsciously, she cried out as her eyes widened. As the people in the room heard her voice, they directed their attention to her, especially the man who simply smiled at her bewildered look. "We meet again, miss Wang Mei." "I want you to teach us the way to cultivate."His ominous feeling took form when those words fell. Subconsciously, Yunzheng's gaze became colder and there was even a trace of killing intent within. It wasn't known if Kim YoSoo noticed the change, however, he shrugged his shoulders and continued, "Do you know how I know this? Well, we have inspected your equipment, especially your pills, and I have to say, the effect is quite… extraordinary."Yunzheng snorted at those statements.
