22. Lennon's POV

"Do you have your jacket with you?”, Mira asked her son, Lennon.

Lennon sighed for the umpteenth time that morning. It wasn’t even 10 a.m. yet, and he was already exhausted from the nagging coming from his mother.

"Yes, Mom, I have it with me; it’s in my backpack,", he replied, exasperated.

His mother gave him a tight-lipped smile. "I'm bothering you, ain’t I?" she asked, coming up to hug him.

He returned the hug, resting his head on her shoulder.

"I'm just going to see a game, mom; it’s Newark and not far. I’ll be fine; if it’s any consolation, Danny and Liam are coming with me," he told his mother.

She scoffed, "Liam, yes, it’s a consolation. Danny, not really. Nelly is wondering how you convinced him to leave the city." She said this, shaking her head.

Lennon laughed; actually, Danny owes him one, and he called in the favor; that’s how he agreed to come on the trip.
