The Strange Woman

The night offered a comfort that soothed Jake. The cold breeze that grazed his skin, the subtle way the birds sang to him, the night traffic and the insects that lurked in the dark, they all came together and helped him have a relief he wasn't sure he would experience. He didn't expect that he would have such deep cuts over a few simple words. He felt devastated. Sebastian had been his blanket for some months now. He had been treating him like his aunt was.
