The Visit

Just when luck seems to start smiling down on Jake, the outside world had to remind him of his sad tale. Jake walked back home slowly, thinking of his next step. He couldn't continue to live the way he was with no wife and no friends. He needed a fresh start, needed to start doing things right. He didn't want to get used to the feeling of loneliness that threatened to swallow him whole.

One thing kept ringing in his ears. Sasha. He needed to make peace with her but she had already moved on and quickly than he had expected. He didn't love her and as such wasn't expecting her to stick around and stay in a friendship that could lead to the end of her life but still, he didn't expect her to move on so quickly and begin life afresh and he certainly didn't believe that she would still not forgive him.
