Before they went on the road, Elena called Warren and informed him of the situation regarding the necklace they received from the West family. “As I told you earlier, daddy, we need to verify that it’s not the same necklace, otherwise we will have to deal with the blowback of such a humiliation…”

Although he was reluctant to let them go, he agreed to in the end. If the West family indeed used such a means for a profit, they had to put an end to it. “Very well, but be careful. Let me remind you that the world thinks Jackson is dead. If someone recognizes him, it’ll cause an uproar.”

With Elena behind the wheel, she drove to the cemetery where Jackson buried his parents. It took them a few hours to get there from Cloud Manor. The cemetery was on the outskirts of King Hill.

Upon laying eyes on the home his family raised him, a surge of mixed feelings flooded his heart. A complex expression of sadness, anger slowly built up and fastened his heartbeat. The blood in his veins boiled. He cle

He noticed six shadows standing, one on each side by the three vehicles.“Mr. Alroy, please forgive us. It wasn’t our intention, but my master sent me to retrieve the pendant. She wishes to return it to its rightful owner.”Jackson gritted his teeth. He clenched his fists and voiced. “I’m the rightful owner. I don’t care who your master is, but this necklace stays with me!”“Insolent brat!”One person charged at Jackson. A week went by. Jackson had mostly repaired his new house. Alicia and Naomi stayed with him during this time and even helped him pick up furniture. The estate Jackson purchased was an old house with an enormous garden. Of course, nothing inside had a hint of life, but he didn’t care. Step by step, he would build it into an ideal fragrant garden. With his minimum knowledge in construction, he replaced a few parts of rotten wood and fixed the roof. It was far from a habitable place, but by pouring his everything into anything he did, it slowly became something he could call home.It paled compared to the domineering estates of the Elites. If one could put the Raven estate and his next to one another, Jackson’s home was probably a quarter in size, if not less, but that wasn’t something which held him back.He was taking a break, having tea on the porch with the girls, when a car pulled over. Excited, Jackson stood up. “Myles! How did you find me?”The young man approached. He blushed the

Jackson remained still. A familiar yet distant warmth came over him. The fragrance coming from that woman’s perfume blurred his thoughts. He closed his eyes and accepted her embrace. It wasn’t a mother’s touch, but it was close enough for Jackson to succumb. At first, he thought he should be stoic and talk with her at a leveled position. He didn’t expect her to make a move like that.Even Myles appeared to be surprised by the turn of events unfolding before him. Lady Woodfield has always been stern and couldn’t care less about what was happening in the world. Yet, the moment she laid eyes on Jackson was as if her entire demeanor had changed.Soon after, she pulled back. With a glance, Myles understood he should leave the two of them alone. He turned to Jackson and smilingly walked away from the kiosk. “Later man!”Elegantly, the Lady of the Woodfield family returned to her seat. She picked up her cup and took a sip. Her gentle voice reached Jackson’s ears. “Please, have a seat.”Jacks

Jackson had veins pop on his forehead. He clenched his fists in anger as he watched the girl dragging the young man in chains. “Bitch!” He turned around and walked towards the door. Just as he was about to step outside, Alicia grabbed a hold of his hand. “What are you doing?” “Let go!” “Only if you tell me what you will do…” “Fine! I’ll go over there and smack the shit out of her!” Jackson gritted his teeth. If he put any more pressure on, he would have chipped them. Alicia felt a staggering pain in her heart, watching him go through this. She let out a sigh. Gently, she put her hand on his cheek and caressed it. “You should calm down first. If she could walk in here so brazenly, her background isn’t something you can deal with.” “But…” Naomi came and embraced him from behind. Are you ready?” With one voice, they responded. “Five minutes!” In a barely audible voice, he uttered. “That’s what you said thirty minutes ago…” He let out a sigh and returned to his seat on the porch. Five minutes later, he heard the clacking of heels coming down the stairs. After a couple of hours in the autobil, Jackson and the others arrived at the Hynkel family estate. With no gates or fences as if it invited people in, the estate welcomed its guests. Although Jackson thought it curious, he more or less understood the meaning behind it. A warlord and a nefarious one lived there. Someone must be stupid enough to infiltrate for whatever reason. The Hynkel family openly showed its might. The road ended when a paved path started, which led into the estate. A garden with abundant greenery and fragrant flowers surrounded the buildings. Different sections divided the place. The current head of the Hynkel family lived at the upper level, whereas Rosalia and her brother, as part of the branch family, lived in the lower. Men and women wearing black suits patrolled the mansion and the surrounding areas, with gun holsters strapped to their chests. It served as a warning to anyone who thought of trying anything against the family. The rest of the family live

The noble minister gargled in a pool of his blood. He laid on his stomach, unable to turn around. His face grew pale and the light in his eyes became dim.One could say it was because of the fear he felt at when Ulrich pounded him without remorse. It took but one punch to demolish his spirit.Queen Melina stared down at him from her throne. Silence brewed for several minutes until Ulrich stood next to Jackson. Then the Rosenbaum Kingdom’s queen spoke in an utterly bitter tone. “You, the minister of this nation, betrayed our people, broke laws and murdered innocents for your greed. As queen, I dismiss you from your duties effective immediately. You are to wait in a cell until the day of your execution.”She looked around and met everyone’s eyes, making them realize how serious she was. She then stood up. Just before she left, her voice echoed throughout the throne room. “Take this scum out of my sight!”Until this happened, her people and nobles thought she was just a figurehead not to

Jackson and the queen laid on the bed. She found comfort in his embrace as she caressed his chest with her finger. It followed a circular trajectory which tickled him.The two remained quiet for several minutes.A knock on the door brought them back from their haze. They both got up and dressed. Jackson went to the door. He knocked back and Ulrich pushed it open. His voice echoed through the crack. “Young master, there’s movement in the corridor.”Jackson adjusted his shirt and walked towards the queen. “Your highness. The people I told you about earlier seem to be more active now.”The young woman smiled, buttoned her shirt and walked towards the door. She knocked twice. Her thunderous voice sent chills down Jackson’s spine. “Open the door!”Just as it opened enough for her to go through, the queen slipped outside. Soon enough, the people Jackson followed appeared in front of her. Ulrich flexed his muscles and shielded her.“Hey, Ulrich, push this thing a little more.”Ulrich stepped

Not only did he commit a crime by entering the premises illegally, but he found his way in the bedroom of the most important person in all of Rosenbaum Kingdom. After a few deep breaths to calm his nerves, he looked at the half-naked figure of the beauty sitting seductively on the bed, waiting for him to sit beside her. Reluctantly and at a steady pace, Jackson approached the queen. She couldn’t have been over twenty-five or twenty-six years old, yet she ruled an entire nation. No matter how one would look at it, Jackson couldn’t even come close to her magnificence. Their status was too far apart. Under normal circumstances, they wouldn’t be alone in a room like this. Jackson understood this, and didn’t lose his nerve. His goal hadn’t changed. Since he got the chance to tell the queen everythi
