Ch. 21 - An Old Friend

“Who dares to be so bold as to threaten my daughter in my house?”

Warren’s thunderous voice echoed throughout the estate’s garden. It carried an angry intent which penetrated the souls of those present. The impact it left scarred their hearts to the point their knees lost all strength.

Even though he didn’t direct it at him, Jackson felt Warren’s anger in his core. He took in a few deep breaths to nullify effects. With one hand, he covered his eyes from the blinding lights. He noticed six shadows standing, one on each side by the three vehicles.

“Mr. Alroy, please forgive us. It wasn’t our intention, but my master sent me to retrieve the pendant. She wishes to return it to its rightful owner.”

Jackson gritted his teeth. He clenched his fists and voiced. “I’m the rightful owner. I don’t care who your master is, but this necklace stays with me!”

“Insolent brat!”

One person charged at Jackson. Even the master of the Alroy family could feel the killing intent emitting from that stranger.
