Ophelia caressed Jackson’s head as she embraced him. Her soft voice tickled his ears while she whispered. “Hear me, Jackson. Ruby’s eyes are a dead indicator of the Hynkel family. She won’t do anything to you. But one thing makes little sense. Why would this girl act against you like this? Something else must’ve forced her…”

While Jackson thought of Ophelia Woodfield’s words, Rosalia approached him.

Her intense stare made him shiver, although he knew she wouldn’t do anything to him.

“I see… So, you heard of our family ties…”

The girl walked around him before having a seat on the sofa. She gently patted next to her, urging Jackson to sit beside her.

When he obliged, Rosalia smiled.

“You are correct. I don’t plan on killing you… But you are wrong about something. I’m from the branch family, therefore, not your cousin…”
