He spoke in a low voice, "All this talk is just because you look down on my background and think I'm not capable enough to compare with the Adam family's young master. But do you think my background is that simple?"

"What do you mean?" Emily furrowed her brows. "Leon, are you trying to say that you're a hidden millionaire with a fortune?" Mr. Lex couldn't help but chuckle.

"Emerald, you..."

Emerald stood up straight and looked at Leon. " Emerald, I appreciate your defense of me, but let me handle this. No matter if it's Adam's family in Cuba or anyone else, no one can stop us from being together," Leon spoke confidently. Upon hearing this, Emily and Mr. Lex exchanged glances.
