CHAPTER 9

Faced with this situation, Emily and Lex were filled with schadenfreude. Pretending to be from the Panama Arrison family would lead to a bad outcome.

However, before the two could revel in their victory, the next scene left them dumbfounded Ada Lewis was particularly respectful, immediately bowing deeply with an expression of strong reverence: "Young Master, why didn't you tell me you were coming? You stood outside for so long."

Emily and her brother were left stunned and stiff. Then, Adam's Erika's behavior was even more surprising. He immediately knelt with Simpson and performed the gesture of a servant, bowing and apologizing: "Young Master, I apologize for being late to greet you. Please forgive me!" at that moment, the air seemed to freeze.

Emily stood still, her throat feeling as if it were blocked by a stone. Lex's eyes bulged in amazement. "Do you know why I came to Adam's family today and stood outside for so long without going in?" Leon stood with his hands behind his back, looking calm and composed.

As soon as he spoke, anyone with discerning eyes could tell what was going on. Adam's Erika was not a fool. He raised his hand and Simpson hard across the face, angrily scolding him: "You bastard, confess and apologize to the Young Master!"

Simpson trembled with fear, his heart pounding. He kowtowed repeatedly: "Young Master, I didn't know your identity beforehand, and since there was no record of your existence within Panama in the Arrison family, I misunderstood and thought you were an imposter."

"As for my engagement with Emerald, it was just a mistake. Even if I had a hundred times more courage, I wouldn't dare to go against you, Young Master!" Leon raised an eyebrow and asked, "Is it just a mistake?"

"Young Master, ignorance is not an excuse. Please give me another chance. I promise I won't do it again," Simpson pleaded, slapping himself in the face.

Leon waved his hand decisively. "Take him away and break his legs, "Seeing this, Ada's Lewis pupils contracted. He suddenly realized that Leon was different from when they first met.

But Ada's Lewis couldn't quite put his finger on what was different. He just felt that Leon was extremely decisive and didn't drag things out. "Adam's Erika, what are you waiting for?" Lewis turned his head.

"Yes!" Erika looked helpless but had to obey the order. He could only grit his teeth and have Simpson dragged to the backyard. In less than five minutes, the backyard was filled with hysterical, piercing screams, like a pig being slaughtered.

Erika's face relaxed a bit. He bent down and made a request. "Young Master, my son has offended you and deserves punishment. Please enter the main hall first. I will serve you with all my might and seek your forgiveness."

"Simpson should be grateful that he has a father who knows how to behave," Leon said jokingly, but his expression was emotionless. His aura was so oppressive that Erika found it hard to breathe.

Lewis quickly asked for permission. "Young Master, I have something to discuss with you. Please Come with me." Instead of going inside right away, Leon turned around slowly and looked at Emily and Lex.

"Emily's lips trembled."

"Leon, this is a misunderstanding!" Lex was almost in tears. Leon said coldly, "Whether it's a misunderstanding or not, you know in your hearts. I will come to propose to Emerald tomorrow and if anything similar happens again, I won't show any mercy!" Emerald looked ashamed.

"Leon, I'm sorry for causing you so much trouble." Leon shook his head and gestured, "No need to apologize to me. It's not your fault. I saw everything you did for me. Just go back and prepare well!"

"Yes, yes, we'll go back now." Lex swallowed his saliva and didn't have the face to stay any longer. He pulled Emily and Emerald and left in a hurry. Especially Emily, he regretted it so much that his intestines turned blue as if he had experienced a catastrophe!

Later, Leon entered the main hall and sat in the main seat. "Young master, please!" Erika held a cup of hot tea in both hands and handed it over. "Ada's Lewis, what do you want to tell me?" Leon picked up the teacup and took a sip.

Ada Lewis gave a signal and asked Erika to leave, and he also closed the door. Then he bowed with both hands and said, "Young master, there were some things that I didn't have a chance to explain last time we met. So I want to take this opportunity to explain the situation of the Arrison family to you."

"Go ahead, I also want to understand more." Leon nodded. "The old master had twin sons who unfortunately passed away. Now he is very eager for you to recognize your ancestry as soon as possible. However, within the Arrison family, there are still many people who hold opposing views!" Ada Lewis explained.

"Who opposes it?" Leon had expected this. Lewis held his breath and said solemnly, "Except for the old master's confidants, almost everyone else expressed opposition, thinking that your identity as an illegitimate child cannot be brought to the surface."

"Especially the legitimate wife, Beatrice, who strongly opposes it and says that it is better to let the younger generation inherit. Her attitude is targeting you."

Leon's pupils contracted, and his tone changed abruptly, "What a title for a legitimate wife! My mother raised me with great difficulty, and now that she's almost dead, she still can't get any recognition!"

"Things have developed to this point, and the old master feels very guilty towards you. He hopes that you can listen to his arrangements since he is under tremendous pressure and wants you to recognize your ancestry." Ada's Lewis sighed.

"Returning to the roots and tracing ancestry, it's a joke!" Leon snorted. "Young master, you should know that returning to the roots and tracing ancestry will bring great benefits to you. You wouldn't want to go back to the days of suffering and hardship, would you?" Lewis persuaded.

"I certainly don't want to go back to my old life, but let me tell you, that person surnamed Arrison will never receive my forgiveness in this lifetime," Leon said with disdain.

"Neither will I, I'll obey his every command like a puppet and do everything his way," he continued. "Because I know very well that the only reason he came to me, Leon, is because he needs me. Since this is a transaction, I'll do it my way!"

"I won't return to my roots, but..." I'll use my means to take back what rightfully belongs to me!" Leon's voice was like thunder, undeniable, and his long-suppressed emotions were like a sharp sword unsheathed, piercing through the hearts of those who heard him.
