The next day the weather looked better. After heavy rains flushed the entire land, now the sun's rays returned to provide warmth for all living things.
Gladio smiled to himself when he saw the sunlight that had just risen. His body felt comfortable when the light touched his skin gently.
"I don't know how long I haven't felt all this!" Gladio remembered that he often waited for sunlight when he was in the basement, the small gap that always gave off the warm light of the sun became a sweet memory in his brain.
Not long after, footsteps were heard from behind. Gladio turned around slowly, the figure of a bearded man was staring at him while his feet were still walking.
“Gladio, like I said yesterday, today we will be doing magic training!” Artorius looked at the sunlight. “Lucky today the weather looks really good!”
"Uh?"
When Artorius said that his eyes looked deep and serious as if he was looking at the enemy he was about to fight. After that little conversation, they immediately started the practice stage. Gladio was asked by Artorius to stand up straight.
"Gladio! I'll show you an example of the magic you're about to learn! However, before that what element of magic do you want to learn first, because each and every element of magic will be very easy to learn if you are compatible at using it.”
Gladio was silent while thinking about what kind of elements he wanted to learn. While he was thinking, Gladio saw sunlight which had a warm feeling and gave life to other creatures.
"I want to learn fire magic first." The boy was very excited to say that.
Artorius also felt proud to see his students in high spirits. "OK! In that case, I will teach you fire elemental magic. So watch me first.”Artorius stared straight ahead. His eyes narrowed, right hand raised up. “Venit Ignis!”
Flames began to appear like geysers coming from beneath the ground. The fire spreads and then forms like a ring.
“Gladio, this is a level one fire element! If you want to use this magic, you must be able to concentrate your mind, then try to channel all the energy you have into your palms. Once you feel the energy gathering say a fire spell called Ignis, if you want to cancel it just say Vastare!”
Gladio was very mesmerized by the fire magic he had just seen. Even though it was only for a moment, but he was already so amazed.
"Now try to do what I did before!"
Gladio started to open his palms. Right hand like a monster, Gladio was a little doubtful that he would be able to cast fire magic from a hand shaped like a disgusting monster.
"Concentration!" His eyes began to close, he imagined all the energy flowing into the palm of the hand. In a few seconds Gladio saw a drop of water falling into a puddle. "Ignis!"
Spontaneously he cast a spell as a drop of water fell into the puddle. Then, something terrible happened.
The fire that Gladio used wasn't the basic level fire that beginners usually put out. The fire is the embodiment of high-level magic.
"No way, how can this kid use this magic!" Artorius who was an experienced magician was very confused by what he had just seen.
Gladio tried to keep the fire magic. The fire continued to shoot out from his palm until it formed a dragon figure.“Aquae Aspergillus!” Artorius immediately acted. Just as the situation was getting serious he spawned a magic circle that sprayed water at Gladio.
The water spray was like a fire hose that was dousing a big fire, as a result, all of Gladio's clothes became wet.
"Huh! Huh! Huh!” Gladio was in shock while maintaining the fire element, he seemed to be being possessed by something. "What's this?" Slowly he looked down at his palms.
"Is that so!" Artorius approached while holding his chin.
Gladio turned to Artorius, with a shocked face he asked, “Master, what happened exactly?”Artorius was silent for a moment with serious eyes looking at Gladio's face. "You don't seem like a normal person!"
"Uh?" Gladio was very surprised not by Artorius' words, but the look in the eyes that Artorius gave him was like people who had insulted him."Gladio! If you can use that power then you will become a great magician. However, if you are unable to control it then you will only become a monster!”
“M-Monsters!” Those words always ring in Gladio's ears. He had always been said to be a monster.
“If you want to continue studying magic it would be best if you first suppress the emotions that are in your body!” Artorius understood who Gladio really was. “I didn't expect that he would come here! It would be terrible if the prophecy actually came true!”
The training was postponed until Gladio could control the emotions that were in his body. Ever since he cast fire elemental magic his right hand was in excruciating pain, every time it was throbbing non-stop."What happened to this monster's hand!" Gladio, who was about to sleep, now feels disturbed by the pain he has been feeling for a long time.
His right eye began to turn into a monster's eye. "Dug!" His chest ached so much. “What is this… why do I feel anger welling up in my heart!”
The faces of people who had been insulting and condescending themselves were rotated, scornful looks and insults kept repeating in his head.
“Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!" Gladio's tone became very heavy and no longer sounded like a normal human. “I will kill you all, who have called me a monster!”"Uh!" Artorius then entered Gladio's room. There he looked very surprised that Gladio's condition had completely become a monster."Gladio do you remember me?" Artorius wanted to make sure that Gladio was still conscious.
"Arrgh!" There was no response, only a loud, shrill scream out from Gladio's mouth.
In Artorius' eyes it was no ordinary scream. "It's terrible!" A black colored energy was surrounding Gladio and the aura it created was really uncomfortable. “Purifica hanc dubitationem meam. Purgatio Lux!”
Artorius' two palms then emitted a bright light. The dark energy that was enveloping Gladio slowly began to dissipate. After that, Gladio fell unconscious.
Artorius really couldn't understand what would happen if he didn't notice this soon. However, Artorius saw that Gladio was still conscious and trying to stop the dark energy from controlling his mind.
“Hmm… I guess, I should teach this kid how to control his soul first!” Artorius firmly believed that Gladio would be better off studying soul magic than natural elemental magic.
__To Be Continued__
After realizing that the potential in Gladio's body was more terrifying than he thought. Artorius decides to take Gladio somewhere. The journey takes about 5 to 7 days. Along the way, Gladio looked down with withered eyes. The boy couldn't understand at all what had happened to him. His right hand was still throbbing, but it had calmed down much more than before. "Krik! Krik! Krik!”The sound of crickets singing was like the sound of a night goddess singing. Gladio didn't say anything at all even on a quiet night, on the fifth day they walked there wasn't the slightest look of joy or excitement in his eyes. Artorius also feels guilty for forcing Gladio to become his disciple. If Artorius hadn't taught him magic, maybe Gladio wouldn't have felt the pain in his hand. “Huh…!” Artorius sighed and looked up at the moon that lit them up. “What a beautiful weather!” He tried to open the topic of conversation, but Gladio just looked down and stared at the small bonfire that kept on swayin
What is justice, what is truth, and why is this world full of suffering. Those were all things that was on Gladio's mind, he really felt the emotions exploding in his heart. His body seemed to fall from a height of thousands of meters, there was absolutely no sense of tension or fear. The end of the waterfall can't be seen, it's all white, which Gladio continues to pass."Why was I born in this world?" The memories of everything in his head began to string into a sad storyline. Gladio feels sad to see his parents have to suffer. "If only I wasn't born into this world, surely they would be happy!" He didn't understand what made fate so cruel to him. Gladio's eyes were closed, a single tear dripped from the membrane of his eye. "It's enough! I don't want to see everything!” "Get up!"A soft voice started calling out Gladio's name. "Uh!" He spontaneously opened his eyes. A beautiful-looking woman was already staring at him, a sweet smile etched clearly on her face. Gladio got up and g
Gladio and Irish stared at each other, the man had a more serious gaze than before. "Enough! Now you tell me, why and how come I am in this world?” Now that Gladio's attitude is more mature, his tone is much heavier and sounds like a grown man. Irish got goosebumps when her saw Gladio. "OK!" She took a deep breath, the worst would happen if her was rash in answering that man's words. “Long time ago, in this world there was a battle involving multiple beings. Every creature has the same goal which is to become the strongest, of the many creatures there are several that have been recognized. They get great titles in this world, some become Demon Lords or Heroes. Two elements that still exist today! Simply you are proof of destiny spoken by someone in the era 500 years ago, he cast a curse on someone. That person is still alive today, and he is being very anxious about your appearance!”“Humph….” In general, Gladio has understood what Irish said. “I wanted to ask, are you sure that I am
Quite a confusing opening. “So everything was planned by Artorius from the start?” Gladio became curious as to what kind of message was left for him. Slask! One page later Gladio opened. His eyes instantly bulged, in the message there was some information about the right hand that had been the location of his suffering.“Gladio, I've been trying to find out what happened to that right hand of yours! From several books and information from several people, I got something. Your right hand is a sign of a new path. That path will open a new era, destiny has given you a responsibility to change this world!” Gladio could sense Artorius' feelings, every sentence gave Gladio an idea of how serious the man was taking notes on the book. He began to turn to the next page of the book.It looks like a different page has been seen, there are several symbols and explanations listed. “Alright, this time I'll tell you everything I already know! The power that is in your right hand has extraordinary
A hint of fear in Gladio's heart arose, the huge clumps of clouds were scary enough to be looked at continuously. "What is he going to do with that black cloud?" Kakuero gave a smile and a smirking look, all of these were signs of impending evil. Gladio could only silently watch this, the man's bad intentions were clearly felt by him. “Fulgur! Perde Omnia!” In high speed a flash of light approached Gladio. Kaboom!!! Exploding lightning struck Gladio, a huge wave appeared as a result of the explosion. The strong wind that came was the embodiment of the skill's power.“Hehehe… is he dead or not?” Kakuero smirked, he really wanted to see Gladio's body that had been charred or turned to ashes from his attack. "What?!" Surprisingly, right in front of Kakuero's eyes, the man was still standing straight while giving him a sharp glare."Arrgh!" Gladio stared at his right hand, it was throbbing painfully. He groaned very loudly, the sound coming out like a dragon roaring. "Uh..." Kakuero
Helios felt that this was indeed not an easy matter, but facing the anger of Zeradas was not something that could be considered something that he could also overcome."Now I want you to explain to me, did you really kill my angel of death?""That's right, I was certain that man was dead, but right now I don't know how he came back!""You're just making excuses! Look, if you really can't deal with him, then I'll make you regret it, now I don't want you to come to me before you completely defeat that creature!""Well!" Actually Helios could pouched Zeradas in the face, but he understood this was indeed his fault. Respecting a leader is also his duty.Leaving that room, Helios wearing high anger on his face, he couldn't understand why this had to happen."Damn, I have to find this creature as soon as possible!"***Now that Gladio has traveled south, here he is trying to blend in like a normal human being. However, he still felt the hand he was carrying would be a disaster. First was the
The card started to give a unique reaction, a red light flashed out.“Master, your card is ready!”Gladio took the card, it contained all the data about himself. "Thank you!""Well! Then you need to go to the board over there to find a quest that might be able to be carried out!”Gladio turned in the direction that woman was pointing, there was a large board plastered with paper. Gladio started walking and checked the contents of those papers. The contents of the paper contained information on quests, recruiting adventurers, and fugitives. Each quest is distinguished from the mark on the paper, for the low quest will be marked with a D, while for the highest is an S."Hmm... now what quest should I do?" Gladio was confused, he actually wanted to take on a higher and more dangerous quest, but he understood this would not be possible. His condition, which is only Bronze rank, is certainly not allowed to participate. Gladio took a random quest that had the symbol D.Then he gave that que
Gladio had arrived at a small village, where the atmosphere was quite silent. However, he felt someone was watching him.Several shadows were seen, and it turned out to be the residents who gave Gladio a strange look."If I'm not mistaken this is the place of the quest I'm currently on!" A bad feeling instantly spread within his body, when Galdio turned around there was a monster that was jumping at him.Gladio's body was pounced on, the claws of that monster tearing skin and flesh.“This monster....” Gladio's hand punched that monster, sending it flying. Blood was already pouring out of his chest. “Bastard, you really seem to be looking for trouble! Ignis Scaturiens!”Gladio's fire fast rushed towards the monster, it didn't take long for that monster to scorch. The atmosphere became quiet, but not quite right, from a distance there were movements of 3 similar monsters. They have a body like a dog and can stand on two legs, each hand has claws that are so sharp. The blood on Gladio's
