5. Everyone Should Know

Alice walked into the party, which was getting more and more lively. She didn't know what to do here. She just needed a distraction to keep her brain from thinking about Hilda, whose fate was currently unknown. Alice didn't want to know. She didn't care. In fact, if Hilda were now dead, Alice would be happy because it meant that her plan had gone smoothly and successfully.

Alice's gaze glowed until she finally looked back at Thomas and Angie. Her blood in her body always boiled if she saw the two of them. Alice felt jealous. She didn't like seeing them together. Especially if they were getting closer. Really, it was very annoying to see that scene.

Then, Alice's back straightened as she saw Thomas and Angie's heads getting closer. They were going to kiss at the party. Oh shit, Alice was not willing to let Angie kiss Thomas. Thomas only belonged to her.

Alice's hands were immediately clenched tightly. She moved with quick and wide steps. Her jaw hardened. And then, when she finally arrived, Alice immediately pushed Angie's body.

Angie didn't notice the signs. Her focus had been on Thomas's handsome face, so when a strong push from Alice made her stagger, Angie only realized it. She bumped into the people behind her.

"What the hell? What are you doing? What's wrong with you?" Thomas was angry at Alice, his ex-girlfriend.

Thomas's gaze at Alice was very sharp, different from the past. In the past, Thomas praised and adored her face and appearance and was very happy when he saw her. In essence, he loved her, but right now, that loving look had completely disappeared, gone quickly, replaced by a wrathful gaze filled with hatred.

And of these facts, Alice was most afraid of the fact about the one thing she clearly realized, that Thomas did not love her anymore. That made Alice's feelings very shattered.

Alice just stood still, she didn't even realize that she had been holding her breath. Thomas hated her even more. Alice looked at him as he tried to help Angie, who had just fallen.

There was nothing Alice could do. She seemed to have turned into a statue.

Then, things got even worse after that.

Angie couldn't accept Alice doing this to her. She lunged at Alice, slapped her on the cheek, and returned the favor with a similar shove.

Alice certainly didn't stay silent now. She didn't accept it when Angie acted like this towards her. And because she couldn't accept it, Alice slapped Angie on the cheek too.

The two of them became noisy at this point. Angie and Alice threw attacks at each other. They were fighting. Thomas tried to break up the two girls, but he failed to do so.

"You're an ignorant slut, Angie. You snatched my boyfriend!"

"Thomas is not your boyfriend anymore. You guys broke up!"

"How dare you say that."

"That's the truth, you don't accept this. You're the one at fault here."

Everyone could see the excitement. To them, Angie and Alice's fussing and bickering was entertainment. Instead, everyone was yelling, screaming, clapping, whistling, and cheering for the two girls. They supported it. They loved the commotion it created. Many were rooting for Angie, but not a few were rooting for Alice.

"Alice! Angie! Stop right now! What are you two doing? Stop fighting! You're only embarrassing yourselves."

Instead of stopping, the two girls intensified their verbal sparring and aggression. Eventually, they ended up pulling each other's hair on the floor with howls and roars.

"Holy shit!" Thomas cursed. He didn't know what to do at this point. He had shouted several times, warning them to stop fighting, but to no avail.

No one wanted to break up the fight. Everyone was very happy to watch the entertaining spectacle. All the students of Starlight High School were smiling and cheering even more, and now it was added to the deafening excitement of the music that was getting louder.

Neither the teachers nor the principal had realized that yet. They thought that the cheering of all the students was a sign that they were happy. Happy that the party was getting bigger and bigger.

Meanwhile, Angie and Alice were getting battered, but neither of them wanted to give up first. It was more because of prestige.

Zana did not faint. She just sat there limply and could not believe what she saw in front of her. For the umpteenth time, Zana checked again. And nothing had changed, of course. The body of the hanging person was indeed Hilda, her best friend.

Zana's tears broke even more. All of this confused her. How could this have happened? Zana didn't know anything. This was too sudden. She tried to process everything, but it was too fast.

Hilda had died a horrible death. Zana shuddered every time she looked at her friend. Hilda's clothes were covered in blood, especially her neck, where there was a wide, gaping wound. That was the part where Hilda's neck had been tied tightly, and then her body had been hung with a rope.

Zana could no longer bear to be here. She needs help. There's been a murder here. Someone had killed Hilda. Zana didn't know who had done it. Her mind was in turmoil.

Zana needed help right now, and everyone, especially the teachers and the principal, had to know about this news. This incident needed to be led by adults, they had to handle it.

Zana ran strong and fast while wiping away the traces of tears that were rolling down her cheeks.

Then everything looked chaotic. That's what Zana saw when she finally reached the hall. It was noisy, everyone was making noise, and the music was even louder.

Zana was still standing in the doorway with her mouth wide open and her eyes puffy.

If this were the case, she realized it would be difficult to convey important information, but fortunately, Zana was not out of ideas. She went over to where the person who was organizing the music was sitting. That was the source. If the music went off, people would go silent in confusion. And using that gap, Zana would try to tell them about the horrific events she had seen.

"Please turn off the music!" Zana said in a shout. The voice she produced sounded soft.

"What? I didn't hear what you said."

"Turn off the music!" Zana tried to shout even louder.

The young man shook his head as he brought his face closer to Zana's. "Excuse me, what are you talking about?"

"TURN OFF THE FUCKING MUSIC! CAN YOU HEAR ME?"

"MUSIC?"

"YES!"

"WHAT'S WITH THE MUSIC?"

"PLEASE TURN IT OFF."

"TURN IT OFF?"

"YES, TURN IT OFF." Zana was actually very tired, not to mention that she was feeling really bad right now.

"WHY DO I HAVE TO TURN OFF THE MUSIC? EVERYONE IS HAVING FUN. YOU CAN SEE FOR YOURSELF."

"THIS IS IMPORTANT, MAN. I NEED TO GET INFORMATION TO EVERYONE. YOU MUST COMPLY WITH MY REQUEST!" Zana said, right in front of the young man's ear so that he could immediately understand.

"ALRIGHT, BUT DON'T TAKE TOO LONG, OR EVERYONE WILL GET ANNOYED."

"YES, PLEASE!"

The music then died in an instant. And sure enough, just as Zana had expected, everyone was instantly silent as the music stopped. They were confused. Especially when the lights suddenly turned on brightly.

Even Alice and Angie, who were fighting, also stopped. Their performance was a complete mess.

"Hey, why did you turn off the music, man? Let's turn it back on, everyone's having fun."

Zana immediately picked up the pieces. She spoke loudly, even though her voice was almost gone.

"I NEED YOUR ATTENTION. PLEASE LISTEN CAREFULLY!" Zana's voice was broken and hoarse.

Everyone could see that Zana's appearance was a mess right now.

"This is important and serious." At that moment, the teachers approached Zana. So did the new principal. They also wanted to know what was going on and what Zana meant by interrupting the party like this.

"Zana, what's wrong?" One of the teachers asked. It was Miss Rosie.

"There's a killer at Starlight High School."

"What do you mean by saying that?"

The question came from the new principal's mouth.

"I saw Hilda dead in the classroom, there was blood everywhere, someone killed her. And maybe the culprit is here, one of us."

Zana's words made things noisy again. The information from her shocked everyone. They immediately believed her because Zana looked very messy and chaotic.

"Zana, don't talk nonsense. We're having a party, everyone's here. You're drunk."

"No, I'm serious. I saw Hilda hanged in class, she was dead, and there was blood everywhere. Someone so evil did ink to her." Zana looked at the teachers with raging emotions. "Let's get over there and help her, get her off that rope. I can take you guys. I'm not lying, I—" Zana was so weak, she was drained. She propped her body up on the table. She swallowed with difficulty. She cried again.

"There's a killer at Starlight High School."

The new principal then came forward and held both of Zana's shoulders firmly. His gaze was serious, and then he said firmly, "If you're serious, show it to us right now, okay?"

Zana just nodded slowly. Images of Hilda's face filled her head. She did not expect that Hilda would be killed so cruelly like this.

Zana was sure that this was a murder and that Hilda had not committed suicide. This was all someone's doing.

And Zana doesn't know who did such a cruel deed.

Unintentionally, Zana's gaze fell on Alice. Alice also looked at her. Their gazes clashed for a long time in the air.
