Chapter 21 (part 3)

Skies have never been silent to anybody’s ears. To them, they could hear the wind or ground move. Footsteps echo as they approached the Primer’s limp body. Nearby, from one of the jeeps, Trust stood to the side and felt the sudden coldness that enveloped Horaz. During the short time, he’s been near the boy, he’s come to form a connection. Not enough to call a bond, but something akin to camaraderie in a budding sense.

There was a lump in his throat as the simmering rage Horaz began with simmered down and transferred strongly to the person he considered his partner, Perri. He couldn’t see where she was, but he knew she was in immense physical pain or worse, considering that she was in the grasp of the Primer enemy.
