Soul Bound

Nux stared with shock at the look alike of the Infinity Gauntlet.

Why was it so similar? If it actually was the Infinity Gauntlet, did that mean that there were Infinity Stones somewhere in this world? Who was this prince that was meant to be given this Treasure? It has to be Prince Naveen right? Did he have some of the stones already? What were his intentions?

Nux didn't have any answers to any of the questions he asked himself, he just kept staring at the wooden interior with his mouth agape .

"I have to take this back with me, I can't give it to that prince if I don't want Aragoth to fall. The wars between the Empires might escalate anytime soon and that prince might just be a traitor, he has a bad reputation anyways, so who would trust him with this kind of weapon. Sigh!! I suddenly feel stupid for trying to actually find a way to give the prince the gauntlet, why didn't I realize that it was Prince Naveen, there isn't any other prince in the next kingdom.

Nux got to his feets and walked outside, the sun rays fell on his face brightening up his facial features. If there weren't dead bodies, dried blood and body part spread everywhere, it would have been a beautiful picturesque.

The tall brown barked trees with their fresh green leaves swayed gently in the morning breeze, the forest by the path was brimming with life, small rabbit like Beast ran about, insects of various kinds made all sorts of noises, birds chirped and made joyful noises, and Nux... He was about to vomit again.

The smell seemed to have increased for some reasons and he wasn't liking it, he got back into the carriage and searched for a change of clothing because the one he wore was dirty and reeked of blood.

The body he was in seemed to have been a warrior and was farely skilled. He had ended the lives of some unlucky bandits who crossed his path, but he had also been unlucky and fell to the blade of the bandit's leader.

Jayden couldn't see himself wielding a sword, it just felt weird to him, but somehow, because of the memories, he was able to perform some skills efficiently.

Jayden grabbed the box with the Infinity Gauntlet and began to inspect it again. He caressed it gingerly and even sniffed it. It was as hard as steel, but it felt soft in his hands, he wondered how it'll feel like to put it on.

His right hand slid into it as expected, after all, its size was humongous. Nux saw some runes on the back glow for a second, before the gauntlet began to shrink down to his size.

"As expected, I can't see how anyone would put on this thing in the first place. Unless it's a giant." Nux spoke.

The gauntlet finally reached his size and clicked, it fit perfectly, as if it was made excatly for him.

"I suddenly feel powerful." Nux said and posed like Thanos. His hands spread apart and his chest shooting out as if he was in pains.

He made several action poses, failing to notice the single red markings at the tips of his fingers glowing slightly.

"I. Am... Iron MaARGHHHHHH!!!!

Nux suddenly shrieked, he felt something sucking on his blood rapidly and draining him of life. He knew this kind of feeling because that was exactly how he had died in his previous life, being drained of blood from his hand.

He stared at the gauntlet that was slowly turning blood red, he felt sharp needles piercing the tips of his fingers and draining him of his blood rapidly.

He tried taking it off, thinking that whatever was happening would stop. Fortunately it did, but what happened next came as a surprise to him.

Nux heard a voice say in his ears, he was startled but was too weak to move, being drained of blood wasn't a good feeling.

He focused on what the voice said and tried to decipher the meaning. There wasn't really anything to breakdown there, but he felt weak and his thinking speed was faultering, making it hard to understand a damn thing that he was thinking off.

Nux lay on the ground still slowly loosing blood, he looked at the gauntlet and wished that it would just fall off his hand.

He hadn't even made use of it, yet it was already causing him so much problem. Nux's eyes drooped and was slowly closing, he didn't notice the gauntlet that had burst into a shower of red sparks and was vanishing into his body.

He began to remember the memories the body had, memories of his family. He remembered his mother's cooking, the nice meals that he and his father were welcomed to after a days work.

His mother's Plant/Life magic allowed her to create unique and bizarre types of dishes that made their taste buds dance with glee.

He remembered a time when his mother had tended to her husbands wounds with type of dish she called, The Soul Soothing Provender.

The dish had done the work of healing her husband in a short amount of time, they both wanted to have some again and again, but they also knew that preparing the dish had taken a part of her lifeforce.

Plant/Life magic users were able to heal deadly injuries at the cost of having their lifespan reduced, and they were only used when the person to be saved was very important.

The bodies mother had done so due to love, and she would have done so again in a heartbeat if needed.

Nux smiled as several other memories were flowing into his mind like a flood. He relished those memories like they were his own, feeling contented with what he had, or rather, what this body had.

'Is this how I'm going to die?' Nux thought. 'Well, that's pathetic to say the least. I didn't even get to enjoy the taste of power.'

'Good bye world, it was nice seeing you, even though it was just for some minutes.'
