The moment I dived over the wolves, they turned around with a twitch in their ears, as if they had noticed the slight sounds I let out while leaping over them. All four of the wolves grunted and swung their sharp claws at me at once.

I thrust my katana swiftly and struck the first wolf nearest to me. That wolf still hadn’t balanced itself from the sudden rush they all faced from my appearance. Hence, I swung my Katana at its neck and decapitated it with a robust swing.

The remaining three of the beasts stood firmly and roared at my attack, and groaned for the death of their kin. I swallowed and firmly stood in a stance since they encircled me all around with their swift movements.

For a while, the situation remained impasse, and we all looked at each other. It was evident we were gauging the opponent's strengths and weaknesses. However, not all of the wolves were patient enough to glare only. Two of them leaped abruptly in agitation.
