After a deep breath, we glanced at the dark forest. It was a chilling scene due to the eerie aura this forest shrouds itself in. The first night we spent together left us terrified already, which was one of the reasons we had a hard time convincing ourselves to do it again.

Although we were already in the jungle, the presence of many people around us and Fred's camp reclaiming a fortress made us forget the threat of the forest. When both of us realized we had to march into the jungle all alone, maybe surrounded by the wolves, we laughed about having to piss in our pants.

We stood paralyzed and pondered why Tejasv would assign us such a mission when he and Daemon could complete it much more easily than us. We rubbed our chins and contemplated, only to conclude nothing in the end.
