137: Death

The small box contained a key to something. The key was bland, and ordinary. If Corey wasn't a curious Nancy he might have overlooked it and thought nothing of it. But the question he got stuck on made him analyze the key even more. What would a bounty hunter be doing with an ordinary key? And why would he keep it in a box? The box looked far better and possibly more expensive than the key.

The question pegged Corey over and over until he couldn't take it anymore. They skimmed over the contents of each bag, in a hurry to find something that would need a key.

Laverna had to take a break to text her new lover and Corey hadn't eaten anything. Of course food was for the weak so he focused intensely on his search. More questions came with each item that he found. They made some kind of puzzle. Corey tried to fit the pieces together, yet he was failing at something.
