The Pursuit

Sid Nivrone stared at his father, the man was deadly quiet.

It was exactly one hour and forty-eight minutes after the clash between Samantha and Silas, with Samantha escaping with a few tears on her clothes and gashes on her skin, not badly hurt in Sid’s opinion.

While she was hurt, his father didn't have a scratch on his body or even dust on his clothes.

Sid's staring was because Silas wasn't lashing out, it was true that he wasn't one to scream like a banshee when he was angry.

Sid had never encountered him in such a state, however the matter at hand was of someone trying to destroy his plans. The one he lived for.

Even Sid had a difficult time guessing what his father was thinking.

The hour had gone by with repairs being done to the walls of the house and the cleaning team dusting ash off of Silas's treasure trove.

Sid glanced at his watch for the second time in that night.

It said it's been ten minutes since the cleaning team left.
