As they were driving, Gabe asked her, “What do you think of me?”

“What do you mean?” Mia shrugged her shoulders. “You mean, in general? Or…”

“Almost everybody I know has laughed at me or mocked me for one reason or another, but mostly about my eyes,” Gabe said. “I’m used to receiving insults, so you don’t have to hold back. You can tell me what you think about me.”

“Uh, well… your eyes definitely don't help me look at them longer,” Mia was frank, and it didn’t surprise him. “But it’s not just your eyes. I’m not mesmerized by your smile, either. You don’t have a deep husky voice, either, for me to want to keep listening to you talk. But…” she paused.

“But…” Gabe’s heart grew tense as he waited for her to continue talking.

“I can’t possibly be judging you when I myself can’t read books clearly unless I have my spectacles,” Mia said. “I’m not good at playing sports or standing out among many girls. I consider myself as a weak woman who doesn’t know what’s good for her and can’t get past
