Chapter LXXII

Peterson and David were already at the lair. Each of them had doubts about the other to clear. The lair was the best place to have the talk without having to look over their shoulders. First, Peterson needed to be sure that, David was not the Clairvoyant. He may have known him to be a good person but being dishonorably discharged from the army does that good no better.

David too had his worries; Peterson trained them back at the camp. More so, he was very quick in accepting his request for help. He also happened to be the only other person that knew so much about David. Before his being accused of shooting the president, that did not mean so much. Now, Peterson had even found out about his meet with Ruddick. That needed to be clarified if they were to work together.
