Sanaya greeted me with relief and thanks shining on her face.

"Thank you, Ethan. Really, for challenging that instructor. I never would have had the confidence to accomplish it by myself. But to you, I can at last feel comfortable here."

Ethan grinned and waved it aside. "It's nothing, really.These days, the school is a safe venue. You ought to be able to study without regard to fear."

She smiled, her eyes brilliant. Indeed, lastingly! Girls who like me won't have to worry about that weirdo any longer. She stopped, her face becoming reflective.

"How about me thanking you with a drink purchase? Least I can do is this."

"Drinks are on you?" Ethan nodded, following along.

"That is an invitation I cannot refuse now.

Sanaya ordered several drinks and flashed a lighthearted grin as they settled at the bar. And no arguments—these drinks are on me.
