Chapter 5

Sarah entered the beautiful hotel restaurant, taking in everything from the coral seafood soup she could see from the doorway to the grandeur of the entire building, the chandelier, and even the solid wooden table on which the chef was now serving her food.

She watched with curious eyes as he turned a full turkey in a frying pan without letting it drop. She was amazed.

Peter Causey watched her with lecherous interest, his eyes traveling the length of her dress, from the nape of her neck down to her breasts.

He secretly watched as his imagination took him places, but he returned the moment Sarah spoke.

Meanwhile, up in Peter Causey's room, Sarah was going through the documents he had given her.  He had convinced her that the documents he needed her to sign were up there, and he did not want the prying eyes of the public while he did business with her.

Naively, she had agreed, knowing that she had worked for months just to get a contract with him.

The room was a mini-suite, and when he went to the car to get her a drink, she was so engrossed in reading the terms of the contract that she did not see him put the white substance in her drink.

James got to the sixth floor where Peter Causey's room was, and as he approached the corridor that led to a row of rooms, one of which was Peter Causey's, he heard his bodyguards outside the door discussing.

"Man, did you see how beautiful the lady Boss brought today? I can't wait to tape him making fun of her." One of them said

"Did you, you know, put the drugs where he could easily access them?" The other asked.

" Of course I did! These drugs are so strong they could make a horse do a lap dance," the guy replied.

"How about we both take the girl for a spin before we drop her off?" The first guy joked.

" Oh man, that would be great," the second guy joked.

"I don't know how Mr. Causey finds these pretty ladies, but you see this one, I'm ready to get down with her and show her who's boss," he joked, and they both laughed.

"What about the camera?" The first guard asked the second one again.

"I put it on the top shelf like the boss told me to. I am sure he must have found it by now," the second guard replied.

James clenched his fist in a death-like rage and walked to the door.

"Hey! Who are you?" One of them asked.

"I'm here to see Mr. Peter Causey," James replied in a dangerously friendly tone.

"Mr. Causey is busy, come back later," the first guard who had spoken before replied.

"No, he is not, open the door now," James said in a more serious tone.

The second guard reached into his gun bag and pulled out his weapon, threatening to shoot Thomas if he did not leave the premises immediately.

"I said get out of here the first time, the second time would not be so casual and friendly of me," the guard said.

"Well, at least you can say I asked nicely," Thomas said before pulling back his fist and punching the second guard in the face, throwing him far back into a wall.

The first man and the guard who had spoken earlier lunged at James, but were brutally struck in the neck.

They got up to continue fighting, and while they fought, Peter Causey had already successfully drugged Sarah. He handed her the glass as she scanned the documents again, looking for the terms and conditions he had said were most important to note.

"Drink up, you don't have to strain your eyes looking for details." He told her, urging her to drink from the glass he had filled with the white substance.

"I'll take that now," he said, taking the documents he had given her to look over.

"But I'm not done going through them yet," she complained and he laughed softly.

"There's no need to rush the process, we have most of the night to do this. We will get through them together. Now sit back, relax and tell me about your company. Tell me what you have to offer me..." He smiled at her.

"While you take a drink and relax," Sarah had turned around when she saw him uncork the wine and pour it into the glasses. In fact, she mentally believed that she had seen him pour the wine.

She thought it was just a harmless drink, but her head had begun to hurt badly...

Outside the door, James battled the men, picking up a fire extinguisher and punching one of them in the face, hitting his cheekbone and jawbone and sending some of his teeth sprawling across the floor.

The guard in question was knocked unconscious by the force of the blow.

The second guard refused to go down and got to his feet.

James's palm struck the guard's chest, and although it appeared that James had used little force, it felt as if he had pierced the opponent's internal organs, causing him to spit blood from his mouth.

The pain spread throughout the guard's body.

"How can this be?!" He thought to himself.

He had felt James using no force at all. The blow to his chest didn't feel like a stone fist; it was more like a pillow. Still, the pain spread through his organs.

Unable to hold it in, he coughed up a mouthful of blood!

"Enough," James said.

He didn't seem to notice that the second guard behind him stood up again, this time with a staff in his hand.
