Don’t Worry! I Know What I’m Doing

Tony shook his head.

"That's not true, Jade. I didn't pay him even a penny," he answered.

"Then who is he? And what was the meaning of your conversation earlier?"

Pausing for a moment, Tony answered, "It's quite complicated, Jade. I'll explain it later."

He couldn't possibly tell the truth. Besides, would Jade really believe him if he said he was once a respected General in the military?

No way! He better keep it hidden for that time.

"Your efforts are in vain, Tony. If with your charade just now you hope to forfeit your debt to me, you are mistaken. You still have to pay two million dollars in compensation for the diamond necklace you just damaged!" Bobby said, pointing to his necklace which had been crushed on the floor.

Tony looked at Bobby sharply. He really wanted to stuff the mouth of this rancid man who wanted to steal his wife from him.

"If I give you two million dollars, will you cancel your ridiculous proposal Jade, Bobby?" Tony asked him.

Bobby chuckled.

"Did you guys hear that? He just said that casually, as if he could give me two million dollars. Maybe he thinks two million is two thousand. But I suspect he doesn't even have two thousand dollars. Hahaha…."

People laughed out loud too. Tony's value in their eyes got even worse.

"Heh, Tony, if you can pay two million dollars in compensation, not only will I cancel my proposal to Jade, but I will also kowtow to you and call you the Great General!" continued Bobby, making fun of him.

But Tony took it seriously. "I'll take your word, Bobby! And if you go back on your words, I will punish you heavily!" he said.

The room immediately fell silent. People were surprised by Tony's defiant attitude.

"How can he be so brave? The one he's facing right now is Bobby, Mr. Hammond's son."

"He is just talking nonsense, you know. He's not brave. He's stupid!"

"Yeah, it's impossible a poor man with no job like him will get 2 million dollars!"

"Even if Bobby gives him a month or a year, he won't be able to get that money!"

"He should be down on his knees and apologize to Bobby for his words!"

"He should be begging for Bobby's forgiveness!"

Jade heard all of the comments made by her extended family. She became increasingly worried about Tony's situation.

But Tony looked so confident. He didn't look like someone who was trapped in a situation that he couldn't solve.

This made Jade confused.

"Okay. Give me one day. Tomorrow morning, I will transfer two million dollars to your bank account. Just let me know the account number!" said Tony.

Bobby chuckled. He said, "No need to rush, Tony. I'll give you a week. But remember, if you're just bragging and saying nonsense, you have to divorce Jade and let her marry me! No excuse! Deal?"

"Deal!" Tony replied quickly.

"Tony!" Jade protested, tugging at his arm and looking at him in disbelief.

"Don't worry, Jade, I know what I'm doing," Tony said.

Jade was confused and worried. She was worried that her husband might have lost his mind as a result of being constantly bullied by his family and Bobby.

Meanwhile, Bobby was smiling triumphantly. He felt that he already won the bet.

And the relieved expression now could be found on Josh's face. He knew what would happen to Tony.

After losing the bet, he would expel Tony from his house and his family, forever.

He just needed to wait for a week. 'It won't be long,' he thought, looking at Tony with a smile on his face.

"Both of you have agreed on the deal. I will be the key witness and also the judge of this bet. Make sure you both fulfill your respective promises!" said Tiffany.

"Don't worry, Grandma Tiffany. I'm a respectable man. I won't take back what I have said," replied Tony.

"And what about you, Tony?" Tiffany asked, looking at Tony disdainfully.

"You can keep my word, Grandma. No need to worry!" answered Tony.

"Okay. Then, let's just start the party. For now, Bobby, my servant will collect your precious shattered diamonds and give them to you later. Is that okay for you?" Tiffany asked Bobby.

"No problem, Grandma," said Bobby, smiling gently.

Tiffany then called one of the Robertson family's servants in the room, asking him to do what she said to Bobby earlier.

Soon after, the birthday party started.

The next day, in Bobby's luxurious apartment unit in the center of Karnaan City...

Bobby opened the curtain and immediately the sunlight dazzled his eyes. He just woke up a few minutes ago.

During the night, he slept soundly and even had a good dream. In his dream, he made out with Jade intensely. They even continued to have sex in Bobby's bed.

"Be patient, Bobby. Just one more week. Just one more week and you'll be able to enjoy Jade's beautiful body," he muttered.

He smiled broadly. The thought of enjoying Jade's beautiful body made his throat dry.

He left the bedroom, opened the refrigerator, and took a bottle of cold water.

Ding!

His cell phone rang once. That's a sign of an incoming message notification.

With a happy face, Bobby returned to his bedroom and took his cell phone, then returned to the refrigerator.

But suddenly, when he read the incoming messages, his face turned serious.

In one message it was said that two million dollars had been transferred to his bank account.

In another message, from an unknown number, it was said like this:

[I have already paid the compensation money for your necklace. Now, Bobby, you have to fulfill your words. Don't bother my wife anymore!]

Bobby fell silent. He then slapped his own cheek, hoping that he was only dreaming.

But he's not.

"Impossible! This is impossible!"
