Alphonse stopped abruptly in his steps as he closed the door to his study. He stopped almost scared to see her there and surprised but more so he was shocked and worried. "It's a week until the elections and there are protesters everywhere. This is a good sign for us, they're saying the mayor did nothing to reduce the tax and their pays. Rather Harris is busy increasing taxes every single day. Even last week she passed a bill to add two more percent to the tax. It was two days to the elections and Alphonse sat down going over last minute plans, he had sent his people out to campaign instead of him. Having Peter and Olivia stand in for him and giving them enough funding as usual. He had stopped his stupendous and large intake of alcohol after quickly seeing a therapist and spending time with Paul the last three days. They played games from hunting birds and pool, all done to lift his spirits but what made him happier was visiting Jennifer Warner in her and Paul's new home. Alphonse took an excuse to go and take the call that had come through his phone, he would have sat to hear the results of the elections but this was the private investigator that he had hired secretly to look for Charlotte. The elections had happened yesterday and everyone came out en masse to vote for their respective candidates and right now he had people who gathered in his house to watch the local news with him and hear the results of the elections.
