ANOTHER WIND OF TROUBLE

Alex noticed Aridan scraping something on the floor, making his heart jump in shock.

"What are you doing? This house is old and weak, do you want to totally destroy it?" He asked angrily, taking out his frustrations on Aridan.

"I noticed that this part is hollowed out, so we can make a space under the floor tiles where they can pack the remaining snacks, and eat them whenever they're hungry, instead of waiting till we arrive," Aridan whispered, not looking up.

Alex sighed and watched him till he made a hole in the floor to pack the canned food and drinks remaining in the bags they came with.

He carefully replaced the tile, returning it to its original state.

He also taught the twins how to open and close it, before carefully pushing back the old sofa in place to hide traces of foul play.

"Ariel, do you still feel sick?" Alex asked, examining his body.

"Just a little discomfort here and there," he answered with a smile as Alex began to administer treatment on him.
