The Dark Room

Sam couldn’t believe his eyes, the sound of the gunshot and Charity’s yell were all mixed up; Jonathan just fired the shot on Charity, and he could see blood slowly dripping to the ground. This wasn’t the third trial, what the hell was Jonathan doing?

“I warned you, Sam. No police, this isn’t over, if you mention anything we did here to the police who would enter this door in less than a minute, Emily dies. No matter the amount of protection or security you put around her, she dies.” Jonathan was frowning angrily, and as soon as he finished speaking, he left through the back door followed by his guards.

Leaving Charity bleeding and a confused Sam in the room, just a few seconds after Jonathan left, the FBI broke down the door and entered the room.

Sam untied Charity, he wasn’t sobbing or trying to cry at the moment, he was angry; not only at Jonathan but at Emily. She was definitely the one who called the police.
