Sam and Emily stared at each other as he removed the cell phone from his ear.

“What did it say?” Emily asked suspiciously, forgetting the first question she just asked. The way Sam's expression was after the call made her curious as to what he just heard on the phone.

“I don’t know who this is, but the person wants me to come see Charity in the hospital; and it seems to be urgent. I think it’s definitely someone from the hospital,” Sam had a worried look on his face; why would Charity want to see him immediately when she was taken to the hospital.

He actually thought she’d be unconscious for now because of how much blood she might have lost.

“Seems she has something important to tell you, maybe something about the kidnapper,” Emily suspicions disappeared, she thought it was something more important; it was seeming that Sam cared about Charity so much and actually it was giving her a kind of toxic vibe but it was still a little.
