Chapter 7- Black diamond card.

"Liar, just pay and stop the noise, Dave". As Nelson continued his mockery, his voice dripping with disdain and contempt, Dave felt a surge of anger rise within him.

How could someone be so callous and cruel? Nelson's words cut deep, but he refused to let them break his spirit.

Meanwhile, the manager, who had been observing the unfolding events with growing curiosity, couldn't believe his eyes when Dave revealed the black diamond card.

"Oh my goodness,the black diamond?"

The manager stunningly said that his initial skepticism vanished, replaced by sheer astonishment.

"This was no ordinary card; it was a symbol of immense power and influence, a card that only the president's family possessed."

The manger said!

Nelson, oblivious to the significance of the card, commanded the guards to beat Dave.

But before they could carry out his orders, the manager intervened, his voice filled with authority and a hint of anger.

"Beat that stupid man to death, guards. What are you waiting for?".

"Enough!" the manager shouted, his tone commanding attention. "No one lays a finger on him. Can't you see what he holds in his hand?"

The guards, caught in the crossfire between Nelson and the manager, hesitated. They looked to their superior for guidance, uncertain of how to proceed.

The manager, realizing the gravity of the situation, turned to Nelson with a stern expression.

"Nelson, have you lost your mind? This man possesses something extraordinary, something far beyond our comprehension.

Your insolence has no place here. I suggest you keep silent unless you want to be thrown out."

Nelson, shocked and humiliated by the manager's rebuke, stood there in stunned silence. His face reddened, unable to process the sudden turn of events.

Even Dave's ex-wife and mother-in-law, who had been watching the scene unfold, were taken aback by the manager's actions.

The manager, realizing the need to make amends, turned to Dave, his voice laced with remorse.

"Sir, I apologize for the misunderstanding and mistreatment you've endured. I had no idea of the significance of that card. Please forgive me."

"Apologizing?"

Madam Charlotte screamed.

"Why is the manager kneeling before this poor man who can't even afford to pay his bills?"

Amelia questioned her husband, Nelson, about being confused with the black diamond and why the manger knelt before Dave.

Dave, his initial anger subsiding, regarded the manager with a mixture of skepticism and curiosity. He knew he had the upper hand now, but he wanted to ensure that the manager's apology was genuine.

"You must understand my hesitation, manager," Dave replied, his voice calm but firm. "This card is not something that should be taken lightly. It holds immense power and privilege. I forgive you, but I expect you to treat me with the respect I deserve."

The manager nodded, his eyes conveying a newfound understanding and respect.

"I assure you, Dave, I will do everything in my power to rectify the situation. Your meal and the wine you ordered are at the hotel tonight. Please allow me to make it up to you."

Dave appreciated the manager's gesture but remained steadfast in his determination.

"I appreciate your offer, but I insist on paying for my meal. It's only fair. And as for my broken phone, I will take care of that myself."

The manager, acknowledging Dave's resolve, summoned the waiter and instructed him to bring the bill.

Dave settled the payment with the black diamond card, leaving a generous tip as a sign of gratitude to the staff who had been caught up in the chaos.

"That's so good of you, Dave".

The manger happily said:

Dave felt a sense of relief wash over him. He had proven his ability to pay, and he had gained the respect of the manager and the staff. The black diamond card had not only saved him from a humiliating situation but also showcased its true power.

Dave's ex-wife and mother-in-law approached him, their faces reflecting a mix of shock and regret.

"We didn't realize," his ex-wife stammered, her voice filled with remorse. "We had no idea about the significance of that card you hold.

Dave looked at his ex-wife and mother-in-law, their expressions betraying a mix of regret and realization. Yes, Amelia, you will never know about it, and that should not be your problem."

Dave could see the genuine remorse in their eyes, and a small part of him felt a flicker of satisfaction that they were finally grasping the gravity of the situation.

"I think we judged you in the wrong way." Amelia spoke in a shaky voice.

"No, you didn't," Dave replied, his voice tinged with a hint of sadness. "But it's not just about this card. It's about how we treat each other as human beings, regardless of our circumstances. We should never judge someone based on appearances alone."

His ex-wife lowered her gaze, clearly reflecting on her past actions and the hurtful assumptions she had made about him. Her mother stood by her side, visibly affected by the turn of events.

"You're right, Dave," his ex-wife murmured, her voice filled with remorse. "I'm sorry for the way I treated you. I didn't understand the challenges you were facing." Amelia faked out her words.

Dave took a moment to compose himself, realizing that this was a pivotal moment for them all. He had the opportunity to rebuild bridges and find a path forward.

"We've all made mistakes," Dave said, his voice softening. "But it's never too late to learn from them and grow. I hope we can move past our differences and find a way to coexist peacefully."

His ex-wife nodded, her eyes brimming with tears. "I want that too, Dave. I want to make things right, if you'll let me."

Dave considered her words, his heart filled with a mix of caution and hope. He had endured so much pain, but he also recognized the importance of forgiveness and second chances.

"I'm willing to try," Dave replied, his voice tinged with vulnerability. "But we need to take it slow and rebuild trust. Actions speak louder than words."

His ex-wife nodded, understanding the gravity of his words. It was a long road ahead, but they were willing to embark on that journey together.

As the chaos in the restaurant subsided and the atmosphere returned to a semblance of normalcy, Dave felt a newfound sense of liberation.

The black diamond card had not only revealed its power but also forced everyone, including himself, to confront their biases and preconceptions.

The manager, having witnessed this transformative experience, approached Dave with a mix of admiration and respect.

"Dave, I must say, I've never witnessed anything quite like this," the manager confessed, a hint of awe in his voice.

"Your strength, resilience, and grace in the face of adversity are truly remarkable."

Dave smiled, acknowledging the manager's words. "Thank you for your kind words. It was an eye-opening experience for me as well.

This card, as extraordinary as it may be, is a reminder that we all have the power to change and rise above our circumstances."

The manager nodded, his gaze filled with newfound understanding. "You're absolutely right,Dave. This encounter has taught me a valuable lesson in empathy and compassion. I will strive to be better, both as a manager and as a person."

Nelson, who stood there in anger, shouted at Dave to shut his trap.

"Manager,I can't believe you allowed this man to brainwash you so easily."
