Chapter 9- The Grande Party!

"We have security personnel positioned strategically throughout the premises," the manager explained.

"They are aware of Nelson's presence and will be on high alert. Our priority is the safety and well-being of everyone attending the party."

Dave nodded, appreciating the manager's proactive approach. He knew that they had to be prepared for any situation that might arise.

With the manager's guidance, Dave formulated a plan to subtly gather evidence against Nelson and his connections, intending to expose their illegal activities.

As the evening descended, guests began to fill the ballroom, adorned in their finest attire. Dave mingled with the crowd, engaging in conversations and forging connections.

He strategically positioned himself to observe Nelson, who seemed determined to make his presence known.

Dave caught glimpses of the beautiful girl, Alice, whom he had encountered earlier.

He observed her interacting with various influential individuals, showcasing her intelligence and determination.

Deep down, Dave felt a sense of admiration for her resilience, knowing the challenges she faced.

At a certain point, Dave noticed Nelson approaching Alice. He could see the tension in her eyes as she politely engaged in conversation.

"Oh my goodness, this man is a jerk."

Dave muttered to himself.

Concerned for her well-being, Dave discreetly made his way toward them, keeping a watchful eye on Nelson's every move.

Nelson's voice grew increasingly aggressive, his words laced with venomous intent.

"See who is standing in the midst of people."Nelson said with a smirk.

Dave could sense that the situation was escalating, and he knew he had to intervene before it spiraled out of control. With a calm demeanor, he approached Nelson and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Nelson, let's not ruin this evening with unnecessary conflict," Dave said, his voice resonating with authority. "Please, show some respect to our guests."

Nelson turned to face Dave, his eyes blazing with anger. "You dare speak to me, the rightful heir to this empire, in such a manner?" he sneered.

Dave met Nelson's gaze, undeterred by his arrogance. "You may believe that power is your birthright, but true power lies in the ability to make a positive impact, not in causing destruction and harm," he replied firmly.

As the guests around them watched the exchange, Nelson realized that his outburst was drawing unwanted attention. He begrudgingly stepped back, seething with anger but unwilling to make a scene in front of the influential figures present.

"I still believe that you've lost your memories and you truly don't know where you belong to."

Dave turned his attention to Alice, who appeared visibly shaken by the encounter. He approached her with genuine concern and offered his support.

"Are you alright?" he asked, his voice filled with empathy. "I apologize for Nelson's behavior. He can be relentless, but please know that you have my full support."

Alice nodded appreciatively, her eyes filled with a mixture of gratitude and determination. "Thank you for stepping in," she said. "I won't let his actions deter me. Tonight, I will prove my worth."

Encouraged by her resilience, Dave smiled and extended his hand. "I believe in you," he replied.

As the night wore on, preparations for the president's arrival were in full swing. The hotel buzzed with excitement, its corridors abuzz with staff attending to the last-minute details.

Dave's presence was felt throughout the establishment as he oversaw the arrangements, ensuring that every aspect was flawless.

In his penthouse, Nelson meticulously plotted his revenge, meticulously assembling a web of destruction aimed at dismantling Dave's dreams.

He gathered information, reached out to contacts, and concocted a plan that he believed would bring about Dave's downfall.

But little did Nelson know that a different force was at work behind the scenes. The manager, who had witnessed the intensity of the confrontation between Nelson and Dave, felt a growing sense of responsibility.

He couldn't stand by and watch as Nelson's destructive path unfolded, threatening the safety and well-being of the hotel and its guests.

The manager, armed with knowledge of Nelson's intentions, discreetly contacted the authorities, sharing the details of Nelson's plot to sabotage the event and bring harm to Dave and the hotel.

***********

"Be careful my son, because our enemies will be present at the party."

Dave's father, Mr.Rodrygo said.

"This is a picture of the girl who's grandfather has killed his mom but because they dont have any proof that he did, they cant lay finger on them."

Dave's father added, telling his son to be careful when people surround him as the party begins.

"Dad , please don't disclose now that I'm the heir but I will be working as a general manager of your biggest hotel."

"Okay my son,no need to worry."

"I will take my leave then".

Dave said and walked out of his father's room.

He was adorned in a tailored suit, moved gracefully through the crowd, engaging in conversations, and

exuding a genuine warmth that captivated those around him.

His charisma and authenticity drew people in, leaving a lasting impression on anyone he encountered.

Meanwhile, Nelson, cloaked in darkness and consumed by his vengeful thoughts, infiltrated the event unnoticed.

Disguised among the guests, he observed Dave from a distance, his gaze filled with a twisted mix of envy and determination.

"Dave, I have reason to believe that there's a threat to the event," the manager whispered urgently. "Law enforcement is aware, and they are on high alert. Please be cautious."

Dave's eyes widened slightly, his focus sharpening. He knew he had to remain vigilant and stay true to his purpose.

He continued mingling with guests, but now with an added sense of awareness, scanning the room for any signs of danger.

As the president's arrival drew near, tension thickened in the air.

The room fell into a hushed silence as the doors swung open, and the president stepped in, radiating an aura of authority and charm.

Nelson smiled, feeling proud to have this opportunity once again.

"I guess that idiot will now have to prove that he's the son of the president."
