Daniel's expression turned dark with disbelief at the audacity of Jayson's abominable demand. His fury boiled over as he approached Jayson, his forehead veins bulging. Gabriel was livid and felt like he could swallow Jayson whole.
"What did you just say?" Daniel roared with anger.
Jayson responded nonchalantly, stretching his muscles. "Not satisfied with yesterday's beating? I don't mind repeating it," he said, flashing his white teeth.
Daniel trembled with fear and glared at Jayson with animosity.
"A good fly shouldn't stand in the way, buzz off," Jayson chuckled before walking into the gym centre.
Jayson had just finished a rigorous training session with his gym instructor, and as he stepped out of the gym centre after taking a refreshing shower, he heard someone calling his name. It was his wife Elena, and she looked furious and filled with rage.
Without much enthusiasm, Jayson began to walk towards the busy road, hoping to catch a taxi and head to the hotel he stays. But Elena called out to him in panic, begging him to return home with her.
Jayson turned to her, feeling annoyed. "I'm not deaf," he said lazily. "I heard you. What do you want?"
Elena was trembling with anger and shock, but she did her best to keep her composure. "Let's go home," she said through gritted teeth.
Jayson yawned, unimpressed. "You didn't seem very sincere in your plea," he replied. "I don't feel like going with you."
Elena panicked and quickly moved to block his path.
Elena pleaded with Jayson, "Please come home with me, Jayson. I am your wife." But Jayson's expression turned cold as he brushed past her, saying, "Move aside, Elena."Desperate to convince him, Elena offered, "Tell me what you want, Jayson. Money? Gifts? I can provide anything you need."
Jayson smirked at her suggestion and sarcastically replied, "Really? What, like two dollars?"
Elena, taken aback, pulled out two one-dollar bills from her purse and held them out to him. But Jayson shook his head and countered, "No, no, no. How about two billion dollars?"
Elena's face contorted in anger as she realized Jayson was just playing with her. "Do you think money grows on trees, Jayson?" she snapped. "You can't just demand billions of dollars like that. Have excessive cutting of vegetables damaged your brain?"
Jayson frowned and pondered for a moment. "Why do people brag about things they can't afford? If you can't back it up, just keep quiet. I can't stand show-offs," he muttered to himself. As he stepped forward to hail a taxi, Elena grabbed hold of his arm. "Jayson, please come home with me. I need your help," she pleaded desperately.
Jayson let out a tired yawn and turned to face Elena. "If you get down on your knees and beg, I might consider it," he said in a mocking tone.
Elena's face turned pale with anger. She gritted her teeth and retorted, "Who do you think you are to make me kneel? You're just a..."
Before she could finish her sentence, Jayson had already gotten into the taxi, which sped away.
Jayson arrived at the hotel and paid the taxi driver before heading inside. After grabbing a bite to eat and getting some rest, he hit the gym the next morning. As he walked in, he spotted Elena waiting for him, but he quickly averted his gaze and made his way to the workout area.Elena was furious at Jayson's apparent lack of acknowledgement towards her. She had always been used to him grovelling and seeking her attention, but now he seemed to be ignoring her completely.
Jayson spent the entire day at the gym, and Elena realized that if she wanted him to come home with her, she would have to play by his rules. She reluctantly agreed to do whatever he wanted for the time being, with the intention of dealing with him later.
Jayson emerged from the gym and wasn't surprised to find Elena waiting for him. She approached him, trying to act coquettish.
"Jayson, can't you see I'm sincere with my apology? Why don't you come home with me? I promise to cook your favourite dish and take care of you in bed tonight," she said with a whine.
Jayson's heart skipped a beat. He didn't expect to still be affected by Elena's beauty, despite her malicious intentions. But he kept a poker face and responded, "If you kneel before me, I may consider coming home with you."
Elena clenched her fists tightly, her fingernails digging into her palms. "Jayson, are you sure you want me to kneel?" she asked, feeling helpless.
Jayson remained expressionless, not moving an inch. Elena thought he might pull her up before she knelt on the ground, but she was wrong. He watched her coldly until her knees touched the floor. Elena's face turned ashen as she trembled with rage.
Jayson's cold words left Elena deeply unsatisfied. "You and your family should come and beg on your knees," he had said before walking away and getting into a taxi, which quickly sped off. Elena seethed with anger as she watched him go, stomping her foot in frustration.Determined to confront the situation head-on, Elena got into her car and drove straight to Wilson's mansion. When Mrs. Wilson saw her daughter's gloomy face, she immediately asked what was wrong.
"Jayson made me kneel and refused to come home with me," Elena explained, her frustration palpable.
Mrs. Wilson's eyes widened in shock as she exclaimed, "That trash made you kneel? Unbelievable!"
Elena blushed in embarrassment and nodded, but Mrs. Wilson was already seething with anger. "This is intolerable. How dare he treat you like that?" she fumed, her face darkening with fury.
Mrs. Wilson's loud voice caught Lucy's attention, and she hurriedly walked into the living room. "What's going on, Mom?" she asked, her face displaying concern. With an angry tone, Mrs. Wilson revealed, "Jayson made Elena kneel down."Lucy was taken aback by the news. "What do you mean he made her kneel down?" she asked incredulously.Elena nodded in confirmation and added, "He wants all of us to kneel down before him, before he will be willing to return home."Elena's words reverberated through the Wilson family's living room like an explosive detonation, leaving a deafening silence in their wake. Lucy and Mrs. Wilson were stunned, their mouths agape as if they could swallow eight eggs whole. "I'm sorry, what did you just say?" Mrs. Wilson asked incredulously, wondering if she had misheard. Elena shook her head, her meek and submissive husband now transformed into someone unrecognizable. "I'll make sure that thrash learns a lesson for insulting our family," Lucy declared, grabbing her purse and storming out of the room in a fit of rage. "Lucy, wait!" Elena called out, trying to stop her sister, but it was too late; Lucy had already vanished through the door. Mrs. Wilson was displeased, but she didn't intervene; secretly, she supported Lucy's resolve. "I don't think you should stop Lucy," Mrs. Wilson advised Elena when she saw her reaching for her phone. "That thrash husband of yours has suddenly grown wings overnight, and we need to pu
Jayson's legs trembled with anticipation as Hayden charged towards him, eliciting a deafening roar from the crowd. Jayson's heart raced with excitement as Hayden climbed into the ring, flexing his muscles and causing Jayson to gulp nervously. The announcer, a portly man holding a microphone, grinned as he addressed the spectators. "Ladies and gentlemen, tonight's match promises to be an epic showdown between our reigning champion and a promising newcomer." As Jayson scanned the arena, his heart sank when he realized that there was no referee present. He shuddered with apprehension as the announcer exited the ring, leaving the two of them to face each other alone. Jayson's heart raced with terror at the sound of a bell ringing. When he met Hayden's intense gaze, his legs gave out, causing him to shudder. The crowd erupted in laughter, filling the ring with their boisterous voices. Chants of "Kill him!" echoed around him, causing Jayson to feel like he was losing his spirit. Internal
Jayson felt his heart sink as he surveyed his surroundings. He had not expected Daniel to resort to such underhanded tactics. He knew that resisting would only lead to trouble, and so he decided to play it safe. Putting on a fake smile, Jayson addressed Daniel, "Brother-in-law, was it really necessary to be so aggressive? I was just kidding around, haha!" Daniel's expression turned sour. He had no patience for someone like Jayson. "Well, what are you waiting for? Get in the van and let's go," he said dismissively. Feeling a bit embarrassed, Jayson nodded and said, "Actually, I have a gift for my wife that I left inside. Let me just grab it quickly and then I'll join you." Daniel's face darkened even further. He was annoyed every time Jayson referred to his sister as his wife. "Hurry up and get it," he snapped, waving his hand impatiently. Jayson chuckled nervously and scurried back into the hotel, while Daniel waited impatiently, glancing at his watch from time to time. "He's tak
Daniel and his gang erupted in boisterous laughter, causing tears to stream down their faces. Amidst the laughter, Daniel clutched his stomach and threw some cash at Jao, taunting him, "Pick up the money and scram. You must be starving after not eating for three weeks."Jayson shook his head disapprovingly and muttered, "Daniel, you're such a fool." He couldn't be bothered to engage with Daniel and his band of troublemakers. As he approached the taxi, Daniel suddenly stopped laughing and glared at him, bellowing, "How dare you!""Daniel, you're being too loud," Jayson scolded.Daniel scowled and ordered his cronies to "get them." His three henchmen flexed their muscles and advanced menacingly.Daniel's lackeys wore smug grins as one of them approached Jao, while two others headed towards Jayson. They clearly underestimated Jao, not taking him seriously.Jayson casually leaned on the car and gestured towards Daniel, instructing Jao, "I'll take care of this blockhead. You handle the oth
The sales representative eagerly escorted Jayson through the various outlets, but to her dismay, he showed no interest in any of the clothing she presented to him, no matter how persuasively she presented them. "Sir, this exquisite piece was designed by a renowned Italian designer and would complement your style," she offered, only to receive yet another shake of the head from Jayson. "Perhaps this summer trend will catch your eye? It is quite expensive but worth the investment," she suggested, but again, Jayson wasn't swayed. After an hour of fruitless persuasion, the sales rep was becoming increasingly frustrated. Her hopes of earning a bonus from this sale were quickly fading. "Sir, may I ask what you're looking for?" she inquired, her expression darkening. Despite her professional demeanour, she couldn't help but curse Jayson's third-generation under her breath. "How do you expect someone like me, a millionaire, to wear such shabby outfits? Please show me something better," Ja
Jayson was deep in thought in his hotel room, his mind focused on where to invest his money. He had set aside the issue with the Wilson family for the time being. Suddenly, a news story about a factory sale caught his attention. He quickly pulled out his phone and began to research the company. As he delved deeper into his memories, Jayson's eyes began to glow with excitement. He remembered that the factory had once produced a popular juice that had become a household item. The owner had sold the factory and, within a year, the juice product had taken off, propelling the factory to become a multi-national company. With this information in mind, Jayson closed his eyes and pondered for a moment, before his eyes lit up with inspiration. He had found the perfect investment opportunity. Jayson exclaimed with joy, "I am rich! I am rich!" and rolled around on the bed with a wide grin. Jao looked at him in disbelief. After a moment, Jayson stood up and called someone on his phone, his hand
Jayson strode into the private room and immediately noticed a nervous man waiting for him. The man seemed taken aback by Jayson's unexpected arrival, given that his factory had been struggling with losses and had been targeted by a government official."Mr. Wells, you're here!" the man exclaimed, clearly surprised."As I mentioned earlier, Mr. White, I am interested in purchasing your factory," Jayson replied calmly. "Please have a seat."Mr. White was taken aback by Jayson's knowledge of his name, but he relaxed his eyebrows and took a closer look at Jao, whom he had not noticed before."Is this your lawyer, Mr. Wells?" Mr. White asked suspiciously, noting that Jao did not appear to be a learned individual."No, he is not," Jayson replied. "But let's get down to business. How much are you willing to sell your factory for?"Mr. White hesitated before finally revealing, "The price is 10 million dollars."Without any hesitation, Jayson responded, "Alright, I will proceed with the transa
The Wilson family members were met with curious gazes, which made them feel embarrassed and then quickly enraged. Daniel's glare towards Jayson was filled with intense hatred, if looks could kill, Jayson would have died one hundred times. Jayson's regrettable tone broke the silence, "If you are not here to kneel, then I will return to my room; I am not free." He turned around, ready to leave. Elena couldn't bear to see him go and called out to him anxiously, "Wait!" Jayson turned around, pretending to be accommodating and replied, "Since you want me to wait, I will." Elena glanced at her family, who all wore expressions of reluctance. Even Mrs. Wilson, who had initially charged them on, appeared unwilling. With determination, Elena gritted her teeth and fell on her knees, causing gasps to fill the air. Mrs. Wilson's face turned ashen, and Lucy was too overcome to follow suit. "Get down on your knees," Mrs. Wilson ordered, clenching her jaws. Daniel glared at Jayson as he stood up
