Chapter 6: Survival of the Fittest

Jayson's legs trembled with anticipation as Hayden charged towards him, eliciting a deafening roar from the crowd. Jayson's heart raced with excitement as Hayden climbed into the ring, flexing his muscles and causing Jayson to gulp nervously.

The announcer, a portly man holding a microphone, grinned as he addressed the spectators. "Ladies and gentlemen, tonight's match promises to be an epic showdown between our reigning champion and a promising newcomer."

As Jayson scanned the arena, his heart sank when he realized that there was no referee present. He shuddered with apprehension as the announcer exited the ring, leaving the two of them to face each other alone.

Jayson's heart raced with terror at the sound of a bell ringing. When he met Hayden's intense gaze, his legs gave out, causing him to shudder. The crowd erupted in laughter, filling the ring with their boisterous voices. Chants of "Kill him!" echoed around him, causing Jayson to feel like he was losing his spirit.

Internally cursing his fate, Jayson wondered if he was fated to die like a helpless animal. Hayden charged towards him, causing the ring to shake beneath him. In a desperate attempt to escape, Jayson rolled across the surface, but Hayden caught up to him quickly. As Hayden's massive hand swung towards him, Jayson felt a gust of wind that sent a chill down his spine.

Jayson quickly stood up and took a few steps back, realizing he wouldn't last more than five minutes in the ring against Hayden. However, a sudden idea flashed through his mind and his face brightened with excitement. Hayden gestured to him, motioning for Jayson to come closer.

But Jayson's expression quickly shifted to one of fear and frustration as he muttered to himself, "Facing someone as strong as you head-on is like going up against a chimpanzee. Who in their right mind would do that?"

As Hayden rushed towards him, Jayson desperately shouted out, "Wait! I know where your wife and child are. If you kill me, you'll never see them again!"

Hayden suddenly stopped in his tracks, causing Jayson to break out in a cold sweat. He knew that finding his wife and child was Hayden's top priority before he died, and he hadn't been able to fulfill that wish.

Jayson let out a sigh of relief when he saw that Hayden was not moving. However, his relief quickly turned to fear as he noticed Hayden's face had turned dark, almost as if he had been injected with chicken blood. Without warning, Hayden let out a deafening roar and screamed, "Die!" Jayson stumbled backwards and fell to the ground, rattled by Hayden's sudden outburst.

"Hahaha!" The spectators found the scene amusing and erupted into laughter as they watched Jayson's condition.

Hayden relentlessly chased Jayson around the ring, his eyes burning with fury as if he wanted to devour him whole. Despite running back and forth for four minutes, Jayson stood his ground with a heroic spirit.

"I'm not afraid of you!" Jayson yelled out, surprising Hayden. He stood there in a daze, wondering if the little brat he was chasing was actually referring to him.

Jayson's frustration boiled over, and he clenched his fist, shouting, "Eat my fist!" as he lunged forward.

Hayden simply smiled, folded his arms, and watched Jayson like a clown. Jayson's fist landed on Hayden's stomach with a thud, but he only grimaced and retracted his fist with a strange expression on his face.

"Damn it! Why don't you just become a wall instead of a human?" Jayson lamented, realizing that he had made a big mistake in underestimating Hayden's strength.

Jayson attempted to retreat, but Hayden seized his arm and lifted him off the ground, causing his legs to dangle in the air. With a tight grip on Jayson's neck, Hayden raised him even higher, and Jayson struggled to catch his breath while his eyes rolled back.

As Hayden continued to squeeze, Jayson's air supply dwindled, and he desperately grasped Hayden's arm. However, Hayden's hold eventually began to loosen until he released Jayson, who fell to the ground and coughed uncontrollably while gasping for air.

Hayden stumbled backwards and collapsed onto the ground, causing the entire underground arena to fall into a sudden hush. Jayson struggled to his feet and let out a regretful sigh. The circumstances surrounding Hayden's death had always been a mystery to him, and now he was reliving it all over again.

The stunned audience remained frozen, unable to react as Jayson's arm was suddenly seized and raised in victory. "The winner is Jayson!" the announcer declared, breaking the silence. Jayson's eyes sparkled with excitement. "I'm now twenty million dollars richer," he muttered to himself in disbelief. He had never seen that much money in his previous life, but now it was his.

With a sneer, Jayson muttered under his breath, "Wilson family, just wait and see." The spectators were too stunned to cheer, but Jayson didn't care. He made his way to the prize booth and eagerly retrieved the winnings, his hands trembling as he clutched the ATM card.

Without looking back, Jayson quickly fled the underground boxing ring, his own shadow now a source of fear.

Jayson hailed a taxi and eagerly got in, humming with excitement as they drove towards his hotel. However, as he stepped out of the taxi and paid the fare, he was surprised to see Daniel lurking outside the hotel gate at such a late hour.

"What are you doing here?" Jayson asked, his expression darkening. He couldn't understand how he had failed to notice in his previous life that the Wilson family members were oddballs.

Daniel responded with a tone of dissatisfaction, "Why don't you come back home with me? Do you want to invite ridicule upon the Wilson family, with people pointing fingers and laughing at us because our son-in-law is staying in a hotel?"

Jayson's expression twisted with disdain as he gazed at Daniel's face, appearing as though he had just been forced to consume sh*t.

"I will take it into consideration. However, please ask your mother and sisters to come quickly and kneel before me. Once they have done so, I will return," Jayson said, his expression seemingly innocent.

Daniel felt his anger rising. He wouldn't have bothered to come and find Jayson if he hadn't been forced to wait for him. "Do you have any idea who you're talking to, Jayson? You're nothing but trash," he seethed. "Forget it, guys. Let's just put him in the van and be done with it." Daniel had run out of patience.

As three of his lackeys emerged from the darkness, their sinister smiles sent a chill down Jayson's spine. He had never imagined that Daniel would stoop so low. Jayson's face fell, and his disappointment was evident.

With a smirk of satisfaction, Daniel taunted Jayson, "You didn't see this coming, did you? You're like a frog at the bottom of a well, thinking you're important when you're really not."
