Sofia had always put Carlos through physical and mental abuse. Moreover, she had the audacity to say ‘Whatever you’re going through, I’m going through worse after marrying you.’

He used to be an alpha of sorts, but her lies and manipulation repeated often enough ended up dissolving his confidence as if it was never there to begin with.
