THE RETRIBUTION

Chapter 7

“Baaaaaaaby……..  Where have you been? I have been trying to reach you but your line has been off” a disappointed tone questioned

Patrick and Fredric turned to see who just came in. To their surprise it was a beauty angel whose beauty cannot be compared to any. It was indeed their old classmate from high school.

“ What are you doing here Vee?” Fredric asked 

Vee was Fredric’s ex girlfriend. During their high school days,she was one of the beautiful girls in school. Anytime they ranked the beautiful girls in the school she was always placed at the first place. Her dressing and actions was full of wealth.

 Vee was much into Patrick but was so scared to tell him how she feels. Being so close to Fredrick she told him how she loves Patrick and how she was willing to take care of his needs.

Vee’s father was a prominent man in the country. His only daughter was Vee who he has promised to give everything to when she needs it.   

When Vee told her feelings to Fredric he got pissed of and dissed Patrick telling her Patrick has nothing to offer and he is not her class. Vee fell for his words and gave herself to Fredric thinking he loves her so much.

She took her mind off Pat and focused much on Fredric who was just deceiving her. Fredric started ignoring her when she left the country to overseas to further her education.

When she came back from the States, she has been trying to get in touch with Fredric but there was no avail. She decided to come over to his office to find out but to her surprise she met her old time love whom she didn’t get the courage to express her feelings.

When she got to the office she couldn’t believe her eyes. It’s been ages since she saw Patrick he never came in mind but the moment she saw him she was dumbfounded she opened her mouth in shock as if she has seen a ghost.

There was complete silence in the room for a while till Fredric spoke. 

“When did you get back?’

Vee ignored her question as she was lost of words her first live was standing in front of her gently dressed with good height and stature with his visible muscles.

Seeing how Vee was looking at Patrick, Patrick spoke

“Hello Vee, how have you been?”

“Are you Patrick? Or my eyes are deceiving me?” Vee asked in a surprise tone.

“What has really changed about him? You are acting just like a child who has seen a ghost.” Fredric interrupted.

Vee saw the beauty in Pat and her heart skipped a beat. She has missed a lot.

“Where have you been?  It’s been long since high school. Infact you look so good mern…..” Vee complimented

Patrick giggled bow down as a form appreciation to tease Vee

“ I’m glad you say so and trust me you don’t look bad yourself. You are still the beautiful Vee of yesterday in high school.” I heard you went to the States to further your education after high school. Have you completed?” 

Fredric here was left out of the conversation.

“ Yes I went o the State and what about you?” she asked politely 

“ I have been around.” Patrick replied

On the other side of the office Fredric was standing there angrily looking at the two 

“ I joined the army some years after school but am out now.” Replied Pat 

“ I can sense soldier personality all over I just wanted you to confirm it. In fact you look so good.” She gave her compliment

“Why are you here Vee?” Fredrick yelled

“ I have been trying to reach you but your line has not been reachable which made me worried so I decided to pass by after I went to get something at the nearby boutique. 

Im sorry I couldn’t text you before coming.”

Vee couldn’t take her eyes of Patrick who was waiting for Fredric to go with him to meet his father.

“ I don’t think this childish behavior of yours would happen again.” Fredric warned Vee

Aside her family being wealthy Vee was kind to everyone in school unlike the other rich kids,   Vee’s attitude made the students like her .

“But you never called me either.”

“ You should waited till I called. If I haven’t been calling it should tell you that I have been busy trying to get things work out.” Fredrick replied

“ Really Fred? What about this Claribel lady I had you have been staying with. Who is she ? And why was she staying with you?” 

Patrick turned sharply to look at Fredric waiting for him to answer Vee but Fredric ignored her question which pissed Vee off 

“ I can’t believe you came all the way here to ask about one low class girl who no match compared to you. You have listening to false accusations about me isn’t it?” Fredric lied

“If you say so then it’s fine let it be as I have heard from you. Why didn’t toy tell me Patrick has joined the army?”

Patrick interrupted

“ Oh so you have also heard about that issue about Claribel?”

Patrick intentionally raised the topic again after Fredrick has been able to cool Vee’s temper and anger.

Fredric looked at Patrick weirdly but he ignored and looked at Vee to raise it again so that they talk about it.

“Yes I heard he is staying with a lady called Claribel whom was treated as a slave in Fred’s mansion but I doubted it because Fred wouldn’t do that until I came back and heard the same story. It made me wonder if is true or not.”

“ You are right the news has been circulating all around the hood.” Pat added

Patrick was waiting for Fredric to shut him up but he was busily scrolling messages on his phone with a weird look….

“ Is everything alright?” Vee asked 

In a second Fredric’s phone ranged he answered hurriedly he stood on the phone for a while and shouted

“ Wh……aaaaaaa…t!”……….
