THE RISE OF JASON WALKERS Chapter one hundred and three
"Why don't we drop that and have hand-to-hand combat?" Jason teased. "Do you think you can take me on, kid?" Sniper grinned. "No one is to shoot." Sniper looked back. "I think I can handle one little kid." Jason looked at him, "Don't you think you need to take off your jacket? You might get it stained." Jason pushed further. "With your blood. Enough talking, kid; come get me." Sniper laughed, waving his fingers at Jason. Sniper charged at Jason, his massive frame barreling towards him like a freight train. Jason, unfazed by the intimidating sight, cracked his knuckles and smiled. "Bring it on, old man," Jason taunted, his eyes glinting with amusement. The two clashed in a flurry of punches and kicks, their movements lightning-fast as they exchanged blows. Sniper's brute strength was matched by Jason's agility and quick reflexes, making it a surprisingly evenly matched fight. The men watched in awe, their cheers and chants fueling the intensity of the battle. Marcus felt he

Henry Carter paced the room as he stared at his cell phone each time. He glanced at the wall clock on the wall and wondered why Sniper was not back. He wasn't picking up his call either. "Death!' He shouted at the top of his voice. A man walked into the room, his expression calm and collected. "Sir, I couldn't help but notice that you seem a bit... agitated," he said, his voice smooth as silk. Henry Carter turned to face him, his eyes blazing with anger. "Sniper was supposed to be back by now," he growled. "He's not answering my calls, and I have a feeling that something has gone terribly wrong." The man nodded sympathetically. "I'll send someone to look for him, sir. In the meantime, perhaps you should consider the possibility that Sniper may have been compromised." Henry's face turned red with rage. "Compromised? What are you talking about? Sniper is one of my most trusted men. He would never betray me."The man hesitated before speaking. "With all due respect, sir, you ma

Jason dropped the call and looked at Zeek. "Are you sure?" "You should ask the young man himself, or he is going to have to die at my hands if it turns out he is joking with me." Zeek replied, walking away from the door leading to the attic. Jason got up from his seat and looked back to see Marcus still seated. "Are you not coming?" He said with a steady voice. "I told you, Jason. This is getting really bloody. Why don't you allow the police to take care of things? I have someone who might be interested in your case. We can go to him and get revenge for all of this." Marcus said with a pleading voice, "The police? Did you just ask me to go to the fucking police? Jason clenched his fist. "I can't believe you just said that. I would have said you were with them on all of this, but I know the role and the part your father played to see me alive till date. Where was the police when my parents were killed or when your father was?" Jason looked around. "I don't think I am seeing them

Death increased his pace as he drove along the street, following every detail and movement of Jason's supposed movement. He got just outside Jason's mansion and smirked. "We are here." He said opening the car dashboard. Death brought out his phone and called Henry. "I found him, but I don't think it will be easy getting him out of here. This place is like a fortress." Death said, looking at the building in front of him. "What should I do?" Henry paced his room; the thought of killing Sniper, just like he had taken care of Venom, crossed his mind, but he needed to know if he was safe. He needed to know if Sniper told Jason anything and if he was coming for his neck. "Bring him back home, Death. But if he is compromised, then we have no option but to kill him." Death furrowed his gaze. He had always seen snipers as an opponent. "'What do you mean, sage him, boss? I don't think we need to save him. Sniper must have been compromised." "Are you telling me what to do? You are going to b

Death crouched behind a marble column in the garden, his gaze fixed on Jason and Marcus through the ornate glass windows of the mansion. He could hear faint murmurs but couldn’t make out their conversation. His earpiece buzzed with static before Henry's voice cut through."Death, do not engage unless absolutely necessary. We need Sniper alive—at least for now. If he's compromised, you know what to do."Death clenched his jaw, irritation flaring within him. "Understood," he whispered before disconnecting the call. He tightened the grip on his wire tape, his gaze darting to the second-floor balcony where a shadow moved.Inside the mansion, Zeek was cleaning his bloodied hands, his knuckles raw from his interrogation of Sniper. "You’re lucky Jason has plans for you, Sniper," Zeek sneered, leaning over him. "Otherwise, I’d send you straight to hell myself. Do you think we were going to let you go after killing George and Evelyn? For me, you are as good as dead." Sniper coughed, blood dr

"You need to tell me why Marcus and Jason are friends." Ethan looked at his father. "You will find out in due time, but for now, go to school and get your certificate. I will need someone by my side to run this empire, and you are going to need all the help you can get if you need to get your revenge and money back from Jason." Dylan got up when he heard his phone ring. "Okay, father." Ethan replied, feeling a little in on the circus. "Do I get one of that?" He popped the question, pointing to his father's tattoos. "It is not given, son. It is earned." "Speak to me, Henry. What is going on?" Dylan said, walking into his study. "We need to keep that bastard. That son of a bitch needs to die!" Henry barked. "Slow down, friend. We both know we cannot kill him now. The police will be on it once they find out that we had him almost killed the first time." Dylan sat sinking into the foamy chair right next to him. "He is getting on my nerves. I even had to snuff the life out of Venom for

[ BACK AT JASON'S MANSION ] "They are gone!" One of the men shouted in anger. Zeke walked in. "Do you know this was going to happen?" He said in anger. "Did you forget that easily?" Marcus and Zeek looked at themselves. "The last time we had the assassin captured. He was killed right before he could talk. I knew that Henry Carter was behind the attack then. Or should I say Fiona, who contracted him after he must have gone rogue? Henry Carter is not a very good planner. I know he is going to slip very soon." "What did you do?" Marcus looked at Jason, who seemed satisfied with the fact that Sniper got away. "I don't see how any of this is good news. We need Henry in a corner and have him arrested if Sniper had given us what we wanted." Zeek looked at Jason and back at Marcus. "Shh... just wait for it. I know what I am doing." Jason said relaxing. "I knew someone was going to come get him." Jason said with a devilish smile. "If you are going to catch a monkey, then you might need t

Sniper breathing was ragged as he tried to see where he was. The black and thick blindfold was doing enough of a job to keep his eyes hidden. His breath was shallow as he turned around each time wondering where he was. The squeak sound of the table could be heard. The blindfold was finally removed as his eyes darted around the room. "Please, don't kill me. I am going to tell you everything you ask me." Sniper pleased. "Wow, how quickly the hunter becomes the prey." One of the men said with a wide grin. "Is this the man that boss was talking about?" "Why? You don't think he is up to the praise he was being showered with? Another asked "I mean, look at him." "He looks pretty messed up and worn out. What does the boss want with him anyway? "If left to me, I would just have him killed." The tension escalated as they all gave their different opinions about the sniper. Jason landed on the floor and couldn't believe what he was seeing. " This is impossible!" he shouted in anger as he grabbed the paper on the floor. He walked back to the mansion and stared at his enemies in the eye. " Did you do this?" Jason looked at Fiona. " I know you don't like him but must you go this far?" Jason said in anger as he squeezed the paper in his hands. Fiona looked at him, " What are you talking about?" She asked with a funny face. Jason looked at her and noticed she might have not a clue about what his grandfather had left him. " So you were going to tell us who killed Sir Thomas." Camilla gaze met with Jason's. He had a troubled look on him and for a moment he stood still looking at their faces. The truth was that, Jason was having more enemies by the day and it was difficult to find who to rely on trust. He looked at the paper again and back at Fiona. " I don't know what you did to him but I am going to find out. In the meantime, I dnt want you all in

"Where are we going?" Marcus asked each time as Jason increased his speed each time he remembered the death of his grandfather. He also had a note that Thomas had written and given to him before his death. "You need to slow down, buddy, or you are going to get us killed." Marcus Warner holding the dashboard. Still Jason was quiet as he drove across the dusty floors. "Is this about Henry?" Marcus broke the silence after a long time again."You won, so I don't see any reason why you need to be worked up over this." "I need to know who killed him. I need to know what my grandfather was trying to tell me before his death." Jason finally spoke up. "Then you should take it easy, man. You can't do a thing if you are dead." Marcus warned Jason pulled over in front of the gigantic hospital. "We are here." He said, removing his seat belt with a sigh. Jason could remember the last and dying look on Thomas Carter's face. He had been deprived of seeing him, but all he had was the cracked sa

"You won't dare!" Henry shouted. "Do you think those people have the right to have me pushed out of my own organization?" He roared again. "To me, those people's opinions mean a lot more to me than yours would ever be." Jason replied. Richard Desmond let out a smile seeing that Jason was trying to outsmart Henry even at his very own game. Eric and Camilla looked at each other and saw Jason was no longer the timid boy he used to be. He looked more fearsome and more determined than ever. "Why don't we go ahead with what Mr. Jason had just said? It is a tie between you both." Richard looked at Henry's face. The tension was visibly seen in the boardroom as people who wanted Jason out and Henry out started to quarrel among themselves. Jason saw it was chaos already; he let out a smile and looked back at Henry with a calculative gaze. He had wanted him to work with the security personnel, but maybe just with the right push, then he can have him sent out of the organization. "What i

Eric walked in with pride, staring at everyone at their seat. "I still wondered why you all decided to stick to this delinquent." He said slowly, looking at Jason. "You all have known me for how long now? Years, months... I practically know how Thomas Carter built up this empire after his death." He said, tapping the chair in front of him. "I find it hard and disturbing to see that you are quick to give Jason the seat that belongs to me." Jason looked at him and laughed, "And who knew you also had hidden claws?" He jested. "To think I believed you could be the man I looked up to was disheartening when I found out that you were a son to Thomas Carter." Jason walked away from the door towards the seat in front of them all. "I wonder how many there are of us out there." There was a slight laughter in the room, making Eric's face harden the more. "Enough of this bickering!" Henry snapped, and there was silence once more. "Have you seen the news? You made a fool of the family by

Sniper was about to talk when a call came into Jason's phone. He looked at who the caller was and saw it was Nicholas again. Jason frowned; he had not been going to work for some time now. "Have got important things to attend to." Jason said in anger. Marcus looked at him. "Are you alright? Why don't you pick that up?" Mr Nicholas had been trying to grab Jason's attention for sometime now. Since he was back from death, he hasn't been to the organization once. "Don't you think you need to answer the man?" Jason frowned, "This is my company; I believe Mr. Nicholas would be capable of looking after it. Besides, I trust him." Marcus looked at Sniper and back to Zeek. "He is right, Jason. You need to pay more attention to your family's business." Zeek chipped in Jason smiled and went back to sniper. "You were saying?" "I heard Henry and Dylan talking about another man who went rogue. I think he also knows about the death of your parents." Sniper looked at Marcus.

"What was that about?" Marcus looked at Jason as they walked into his mansion. "What?" Jason asked, turning to meet his anxious gaze. "Don't tell me you don't understand what I mean. Irene and Alessia. What is the drift between the three of you?" Marcus replied. "Nothing." Jason said slowly, feeling a little tired. He closed his eyes, and by the time he had them opened, Marcus was still staring at him. "Nothing. I don't love or feel emotionally attached to either of them." Jason replied, but Marcus's gaze made him squish on the chair he sat on. "Well, I might have been into Irene when I was at my weakest." Jason said barely above his voice. "She was right after all." Marcus looked at him. "Right? About what?" "The girl was there for you when you were at your weakest." "There for me, not helping me with my financial crises. She was just a shoulder to rest on." Jason said, clearing the air. "Yeah, I feel you. But don't you think she is reading more meaning into it? Do yo

Irene walked towards the stage and grabbed Alessia off the poduim. " What are you doing?" She asked with anger. " I don't understand." Alessia said with anger visibly shown on her face. " Jason is my man and you know it. So tell me what the fuck was that!" Irene looker at her. " I love him and I don't mind scremsin it outloud that I am in love with Jason walkers." Alessia replied with a bold face. " Oh, you do now right?' Where were you when he had nothing? I am pretty sure you are one of the many who criticise Jason then." Irene said in anger. " Well, I am not the one with the bad luck!" Alessia said back at her sister. Irene's hand moved before her lips could. The deafening slap sounded so much that it shifted everyone's gaze from Jason for a while. " Where did that sound came from?" " Did you hear that?" " I could have sworn I heard a deafening slap right now." The students all stared at Alessia and Irene. Alessia was holding her face while Irene was fuming

"What is the plan?" A voice asked right behind Ethan. Ethan looked back and saw it was Fiona. "I can't have Jason tearing down the family. Everyone wants his head on a spike," she said with venom and loomed towards the podium where Jason stood addressing the students. Ethan grinned, "I am in now. It is only a matter of time before we bring Jason to his knees." "In?" Fiona looked at Ethan's face. "In on what?" "The inner circle," he replied, looking at her face. "The circus." "Is that supposed to mean something to me?" Fiona raised an eyebrow. "It doesn't matter. All that matters is that we are bringing Jason to his knees," Ethan replied. "Well, you are not telling me anything. How do you plan on doing that?" Fiona folded her hands. "I need to head my grandfather's company. Jason is standing in the way of that, and not to mention my greedy uncle, who wants a bit too." " You mean, Henry?" Ethan asked. " Yes, after Jason is gone then I need to make him gone too.
