THE RISE OF JASON WALKERS Chapter eighty eight
The students all looked at their phones, and they stared at each other. "Did you see what I am seeing?" a student asked his fellow students. "I don't know what you see, and I am clearly not showing you what I saw," he replied hostilely.Immediately the vote began to drop, and all were in Ethan's favor. Marcus looked at the board, and the smile on his face disappeared. "Typical Ethan. I knew he was going to do something." Mr. Reynolds said with a smile on his face. Meanwhile, Ethan looked at Mike. "What did you do?" he asked, staring at him. "I just pulled their strings. I am the puppet master." Mike said putting his mini laptop in his bag.Ethan grabbed his hands. "Thank you for saving me. My father would have me killed if I had lost to Jason." "Why did you have his girlfriend snatched in the first place?" Mike asked, staring at him. Ethan looked around. "Why does this matter to you anyway?" He stared at him. "I think I deserve to know. I helped you, and I think you should. Doesn

"Can you tell me what is going on?" Marcus asked, staring at his father. He could see that he was a bit sweaty. "Don't worry. I have everything under control." George looked at his son. "You and you." He pointed to some of his men. "Follow me." George was about to walk out when he looked back at Zeek and Evelyn, "Make sure no one comes into the building. Be alert." Marcus knew something was wrong, but then he couldn't place his hand on it. He knew his father still saw him as a teenager and would always do everything to have him protected. He was about to charge after his father when Evelyn pulled him back. "You should listen to him. He didn't tell you for a reason." "Who are you to order and tell me what to do! He is mine, and I am going after him." Marcus snapped at her. "Fine. Soothe yourself." Evelyn said, gently releasing her firm grip. Marcus was about to walk out of the door when Zeek walked closer to him and teased him. "That should shut him up." The two of them locke

" Do you think, Mr George will be fine?" Evelyn sked looking a Zeek who had his hand tightened on his gun. " How am I suppose to know that,Evelyn." Zeek looked back at her. ":Why? what is happening?" Evelyn asked again seeing that Week's hands were on his gun. " I think something is going to happen to night. I can sense it." Zeek replied looking around the house. He took his walkie talkie and radio to some of the men guarding the compound. Zeek's voice crackled over the walkie-talkie as he instructed the guards to increase their vigilance. The air around the safe house was thick with tension, the kind that prickled the skin and set nerves on edge. Evelyn watched him carefully, her instincts telling her that whatever was happening outside was only the beginning. Inside the safe house, Marcus paced the room like a caged animal. The weight of not knowing gnawed at him. He couldn't shake the uneasy feeling he was having about his father. "Zeek," Marcus called out, his voice sha

Zeek watched as the blet flew past Marcus and went straight for Evelyn, who landed on the floor. "No!" Zeek shouted, killing a few of Sniper's men to get to her. "I am sorry," Zeek said slowly, staring at Evelyn, who was lying on the ground."It is okay, Zeek. Make sure you protect him," Evelyn managed to say before life fled from her body. Marcus looked at Zeek, who got up angrily. "I am going to kill every last one of them!" he said with anger coursing through his veins. "We are outnumbered, Zeek," George shouted, drawing him to the back as he was about to walk out of the main mansion. There was a loud noise, and the house crumbled under its weight."Get the hell out of here!" George shouted as he pushed Marcus out of the debris. "I am not leaving you, Dad." Marcus shouted, looking at his father, who was stuck. "We are getting the hell out of here together. I am not leaving you." He said with a frightened look on his face. "We need to get to Jason now!" Zeek shouted, his eyes dar

"Don't make me do this." Zeek said, looking at Marcus, who had a look like he was going to do something stupid. "Your father knew what he was getting into the moment he answered your distress call. Don't you find it strange that he came back home to help?" Zeek shouted at Marcus. "You can't listen to him." "What will you do if it was your father?" Marcus said in anger. "That's right, Marcus. Get me Jason as your father gets to live." Sniper said again, but Zeek was faster than Marcus. He charged towards him and hit him on the head. Marcus fell to the floor, losing consciousness. Zeek carried both him and Jason into the car, but a stray bullet hit him as she tried to drive out of the mansion. "I guess your son made his choice." Sniper looked at George before he shot him in the head. Zeek occasionally groaned in pain and looked at the back of the car. They were two teenage boys who were out cold, and he didn't know what to do with them. Jason was still unconscious, and of course Mar

[AFTER FIVE MONTHS] The news of the death of Jason was everywhere. Some of the students said he deserved it, while others said Jason was an opportunist who wanted to be part of the Carter family at all costs. The Carters' family was finally able to move along with the news about the death of Jason. Henry Carter, with the rest of the family, took charge of the family business, with Fiona given her share. The Mathews were immediately associated with the Carters' business with Henry in charge. Fiona and Ethan became a couple, and they were feared on the school campus. They bullied a lot of students with Mr. Reynolds there each time to protect them. Marcus was back to being a loner on the campus. He occasionally tries to defend the weak, but then it is the majority against him. He could not defend them for long. Zeek was off the grid. He stopped talking to Marcus anymore and stopped updating him about the health of Jason. Although they agreed to tell the world he was dead, to Marc

Marcus couldn't take his eyes off the person he was seeing right in front of him. "This is impossible!" Ethan shouted, looking at the young man dressed in a black suit. He looked different, he said, as more handsome, and the clothes he wore clung to his body. "Isn't that?""Yes, he is." "Look at how manly he looks." "I thought he was dead." Most of the students froze in awe looking at Jason Carter get down from the car before them. The cameramen and women rushed towards Jason. The loud shutters of the camera could be heard as they kept asking him for an interview. "Am I seeing wrongly?" Marcus murmured to himself. He has had many dreams with Jason coming back to life. Perhaps this was one of them. Jason looked at Marcus and knew he still didn't believe he was the one. He took a step on the journey towards him. Zeke got down to stand beside him. "Are you sure you are ready for this?" He asked with a comm wire in his ears. "Yes, I am." Jason replied instantly."You heard the bo

"What are you going to do about it?" Henry looked at Jason in anger. "I am not here to banter any words with you. Rather, I am here to command." Jason said authoritatively, making Marcus look at him with an eye of awe. "Command me? And who the hell do you think you are?" Henry roared. "I am Jason Carter. The last son of Richard Carter, and I am telling you that as of today you are demoted to the role of a guard." At first there was silence. Many of the staff members and board members looked at themselves. "Can he really do it?""The Almighty Henry Carter reduced to the post of a guard." "He is bluffing." The sound of camera shutters could be heard as the two men stared face to face with each other. "Am I talking here!" Jason snapped, and the board members shook. "I just said I want this man right in front of me to be demoted." Mr. Nicholas walked forward. "Right away, Mr. Jason. We will begin our work on filing the necessary documents for his demotion." Jason removed a ha

Blood splattered across the dusty floor as more men poured in through the broken windows and side doors. Her eyes were wide with terror, but there was also fire there. She grabbed a fallen gun from the ground and pointed it at the oncoming wave. “I can fight!” she screamed.“No!” Jason barked, trying to pull her back.Another blast erupted. Clark looked at the piece of paper he was holding. And he knew all he had to do. He does not need Jason anymore. All he needed to do was open the Walkerscript, and the knowledge of the ancient power was his. All he needed to do now was have Jason at the right place. Nikoklaus has been running the business with Eric and Sophia as he had always wanted. But then, he needed him in the days to come. Clark decided to have one of his men mount at Jason's mansion and report everything that was going on. Days went by, and Jason was not awake. Clark was beginning to wonder if the legends were true. He had never witnessed Jason heal a man right in front of him before. The plan he had was to shoot Felix right in front of Jason and watch him heal his old man, but everything fell apart, and Felix had to die. Clark decided to check out the Walkers last place of treasure. He took his car and drove down to the site. The drive was a long one, and when he finally got there, he was surprised to see

Claire didn’t answer. She pushed the creaking door open slowly, her hand hovering just above the frame as if expecting something—or someone—on the other side. Dust spiralled in the golden slant of the setting sun, illuminating the forgotten grandeur of the ancient building before them.Jason stepped in behind her, his senses alert. Every fibre in his being was tingling with unease. There was something about the air—thick, cold, and laced with a scent he couldn’t quite place. It wasn’t decay. It wasn’t mildew. It was... magic. Old and worn, but very much alive.“Someone’s been here recently,” Raven murmured, gun now fully drawn. “Tracks. Fresh ones.”Claire’s face had gone pale, her eyes narrowing as she reached into her coat and pulled out a small dagger. “They were never supposed to find this place.”Jason moved closer, his voice low. “Who’s ‘they’?”Claire didn’t look at him. “Those who erased the Walkers from history. Those who feared your grandfather’s return. And now they fear

Alessia stood her ground, her arms crossed over her chest as she stared at Jason. The tension in the room was almost palpable. His eyes were wild, a storm brewing in them that she couldn’t quite calm, no matter how much she wanted to. He was spiralling, and she could feel it.It was almost as if Jason couldn't trust anyone. Not even Alessia, his wife. Jason began to remember how she had started off as his personal assistant and how she had slowly climbed the ladder to be his wife. It all felt too good to be true; it felt like he was dancing to theirplans right from day one. "You can't tell me you don't know anything, Alessia. You know this was going to happen. Didn't you?" "Jason", she began, her voice quiet but firm, "I didn’t know. I swear on everything I hold dear, I had no idea about your healing abilities when I married you."Jason didn’t even blink. He kept staring at her like he was trying to read through her soul."I married you because I loved you," she continued, her

Jason flashed his eyes open; he looked around, and he could see faces staring at him. His face was at peace when he saw Alessia was right beside him. "I thought we lost you for a moment." Jason let out a sigh slowly, reaching for her hand. "No, honey. I am right here." Alessia replied back. "What about Leo? Is he alright?" Jason asked. Alessia helped him to sit upright. "Father is in a coma, and Irene is staying with him." Aleesia replied. "Well, I think he is going to need you. I also need to have him healed, but I am..." "You are not in the right state of body to heal anyone right now." Doctor Zack said immediately. "I need to take my time to study how your ability works and how we can help you through it without you killing yourself. You are an asset every big man in the city would want." Zack said, looking across the room towards his bed. "I am not an asset to anyone, Doctor Zack. I am Jason Carter." He said sharply, wincing in pain. He remembered what happened before he f

"Are you alright?" A voice said slowly as Jason opened his eyes. He flicked his hands, trying to make sure he was alright. "Doctor Zack?" Jason let out gently. "Yes. I am fine. How is she?" "Do you mean Alessia?" Zack said, smiling. "She is fine, boss. You healed her." Doctor Zack said, patting his shoulders. "You should've let the doctors do their job. You are straining yourself too much, Mr Carter, and it is not good for you." "Where is she? Where is my wife?" Jason asked. "She went out early this morning. She said there was a matter she had to take care of." Jason sat up slowly. He winced as his eyes darted around. Then his gaze slowly went to the wall clock in front of him. "How long have I been out?" He asked, looking at the time. "You have been out for three days," Zack replied, checking his vitals. "What? What did you say?" Jason snapped suddenly. "Yes, you have been out for three days straight. I was beginning to get worried, but then your chart this morning showed y

There was total s after Alessia was basked in the light. The doctor outside the van and some nearby people saw the light. It was not the first so they weren't bothered. What the wanted to see was it Alessia was going to make it and if she did, then Jason had done it again. That was the first thing Alessia noticed as she slowly drifted back into consciousness. No beeping machines. No painful pressure in her chest. Just silence—and warmth. It felt like she was wrapped in sunlight, floating. Then, she heard his voice.“Alessia... please, wake up.”Jason.Her lashes fluttered, and she opened her eyes slowly. The fluorescent lights above her swirled into view, and the familiar lines of Jason’s worried face came into focus. His hands were still on her torso, glowing faintly—though his face was pale, beads of sweat dripping from his forehead.“Jason…” she whispered, her voice hoarse. “You did it…”Jason’s breathing was erratic, his body trembling slightly. “You're okay,” he whispered, brush

Jason had never been this scared before in his entire life. The fear of losing Alessia, who was the only thing that just gnawed at him, was real. "She is going to be alright." Adrian said gently, looking at Jason from the front mirror, before he increased his pace. Jason's phone rang again, and this time he saw it was Clark. His hand fidgeted slowly as he pressed the answer button. "I said I am coming!" Jason said, raising his voice. "Do you honestly think I was a fool? Do you think I would be so gullible as to allow Leonard to destroy everything I have been planning for years, months?" Clark said with anger. "What else do you want? You asked me to give you the company, and I did. I am even going to go as far as to give up my inheritance if you want them." Jason replied. "Just give me my grandfather, and I promise to disappear without a trace. Besides, you don't need me." Clark chuckled behind the call. "Oh boy! I need you. "Faster!" Jason shouted at the man who was driving. His phone rang again, and Jason saw it was Clark calling. "If you are not here in the next twenty minutes, then your grandfather will be dismembered!" Clark shouted as he hung up the call before Jason could say a word. The car sped into the night with the tension heightened. Jason's phone rang, and he saw it was Alessia. "Are you at home, babe?" He asked, gently tapping the leathered seat he was seated on. "Don't go alone, Jason. This is not going to end well." Aleesia said with her voice trembling. "I am going to rescue my grandfather, and no one is going to stand in my way. Zack has his men on standby. They are going to have me protected, so you don't need to worry about anything." Jason said trying to calm her down. But then there was a slight static, and Leo's voice could be heard loud and clear. "We had a deal, Jason Carter. And you are not going to go against it. I promised to help you if you give me the chance too
