The night air hung heavy with tension as Jordan and his crew found refuge in a cloak-and-dagger meeting spot at one of Jordan’s houses. They feared risking going back to the old house for fear of being tracked down. The aftermath of the confrontation with Mr. Elias's alliance still lingered in the air, and the urgency to regroup and strategize was palpable.
