PLEADING FOR MERCY

Jordan finally found his way in. Parking at the parking lot, he looked at Ana and Mariela, who was trembling with fear of what lay ahead of her after screwing things up. “Get down," he ordered.

Ana got out through the same door with Mariela, keeping watch on her. Now that she knew Mariela had ruined everything, Ana was afraid that she might try to escape them. She walked close to her as they made their way to Jordan. “What do we do with this one?” Ana implored.

Jordan looked at Mariel with rage and contempt, while Mariela evaded their gazes as she waited for her case to be decided. Her ears were paying close attention to Jordan as his words made their way to her ears despite the commotion in the busy place. “Nothing, for now. We will keep her beside us until the end of today. I think she needs to see what we do to our enemies so that she can prepare herself for her own punishment.”
