Chapter 8: The New Boss

*Sighs*

He had all the wealth that he wanted now but he had nobody to share this newly acquired wealth with.

His mother was dead now and there was no extent spending his money with people who once saw him as total thrash. He was going to keep his status as a billionaire hidden until the right time came for him to reveal it to everyone and by that time, he was going to make sure everyone who ever looked down on him come crawling on their knees.

Call him cruel, he didn't care, a part of him went with her into her grave that day. That part was every good part of him.

He had not officially announced his new position as the new manager of Keystone pharmacy, the second largest pharmacy in the city, second alone to his partners who headed the production of the cancer drug.

When he got to the pharmacy complex, the first person he met was Tina. She was standing beside a grey-colored car.

His face vanished into hatred and disdain as he saw her family as one of those who had a hand in his mother's death.

Whatever their mission in his new company, he was not going to allow it to see the light of day.

From the magnificent building, her new husband, he was informed was named David calmed down with a broad smile on his cruel face.

Richmond's face twisted with hate and disgust and he had to clutch his hands to control his rising anger.

Richmond wished he could go over to him and strip off that smile from that face and make it groan with pain.

Then, Tina turned around and her face met with her supposed former boyfriend. She shot a sneer at him and alerted her husband of his presence.

"Guess who we have here baby," she said with a cruel smile.

David turned around and burst into laughter immediately after he saw Richmond standing on his right foot before them, grinning like an injured dog.

He wondered how a poor ass like his would have enough audacity to visit such a distinguished company with his tattered clothes and worn-out slippers. "His usual logo," David chuckled.

"Maybe he is here for an excursion. Remember he always wanted to be a doctor right," Tina laughed. "Too bad he can't properly differentiate be a hospital and a pharmacy," she mocked.

Richmond clutched his hands tightly to control his rising anger. And his face vanished into a hateful grin.

"Are you guys done talking," he fired a hateful glare at the both of them and continued to limp advance to the building.

"Maybe he is here to apply for a job as a cleaner. Too bad, even the cleaners here are more prestigious than him," Tina yelled after him.

"I pray he doesn't break another limb climbing going up those stairs," David chuckled loudly so that Richmond would here every word he said.

He proceeded towards the office his secretary. He was already tired He continued Limping, searching for her office. He was supposed to meet when he got to the company.

The building was so large that he thought he had somehow gotten missing. He would have to ask for directions.

He saw a security officer standing at the far edge of the hall and he journeyed over to him to ask for directions.

"Good day," Richmond greeted.

But rather than give him a response, the security officer shot a disgustful sneer at him.

"This is not a charity company," he fired at Richmond not even waiting to hear the reason Richmond was there.

"I never said I came here.." he tried to explain himself but before he could say anything else, the security officer held him by his neck and threw him forcefully to the ground.

He fell forcefully to the ground and he yelled in pain. He had renewed the pain in his limb again.

"What have I done to deserve this," Richmond sobbed.

Seeing Richmond in pain, the wicked security officer smiled to himself. "That serves your freaking ass right," he glared at Richmond.

But Richmond's anger bagan to grow steadily. How could a mere security officer treat him this badly in his own company?

He stared angrily into the eyes of the security officer and he could feel his head foaming with anger.

But there was absolutely nothing he could do to this security officer. He was more like a fathom of grain before the large monster.

But how was he going to take over this company when he wasn't even allowed to see his secretary?

Then, a lady with the looks of a Greek goddess, wearing dark shed glasses classically walked into the place.

Richmond noticed that the security officer was already shivering with fear as the lady arrived. And he bowed slightly as the lady got to them.

"Good morning ma," he greeted still shivering.

Richmond stared into the eyes of the beautiful lady and swallowed hard. That lady must be his secretary.

He felt a little bit ashamed that his secretary would be seeing him he such a position, dressed like a piglet and he bowed his head.

"What is happening here," miss. Juliet inquired.

"It's one of these beggars again but doesn't worry mam, I will soon chase him out of this vicinity," the security explained.

Miss Juliet stared at Richmond making him wonder if she would recognize him.

Then, she removed her glasses and her eyes parted with amazement and dread.

"What have you done," she yelled at the security officer already shivering with fear and cold shivers ran down her spine.

Thanks to the beast she had employed as a security officer, she was about to lose her job in the company immediately after the new manager takes his position.

She knelt before Richmond even with her glowing white trousers sweeping the floors.

"I am very sorry sir," she apologized with a dreadful look.

Richmond stared into the eyes of the security officer who was taken aback and confused about everything. How could his boss be kneeling and pleading before a poor peasant like this fool?

"You fool, this is the new manager of the company," miss Juliet fired angrily at him as her face twisted with hate and disgust.

The security officer was confused by the words she just spoke. How could such a poorly dressed man be his new boss?

He tried to help Richmond up but Richard shot a glare at him.

He looked ahead of him and saw the top of the office before him. "The manager's office."

"That is certainly my office," he thought. He limped angrily toward the office while the secretary and the security officer ran after him, pleading for his Mercy.

When he got into the office, he sat down on the chair before the table.

"How may I help you guys," he shot a snare at them.

He smiled inwardly to himself. It was great when the table is turned around against the rich and the powerful.

"I am very sorry for everything," the security officer apologized.

"Are you?" Richmond fired back.

"I don't think I am the first person you have done this to. So, if I allow you to remain in the company you will continue with this wicked act. So, I am very sorry but you are fired with immediate effect," Richmond announced.

The security officer's heart almost stopped beating and tears trekked down his flawless face.

He started to leave the office gradually while tears poured from his eyes.

"Please close the door behind you," Richmond yelled at him. Then, he turned over to his secretary and smiled.

The secretary could already feel her heart beating hard against her chest. "What was going to be the decision of her new boss?" she couldn't help but think.
