UNEXPECTED SHOPPING SPREE

Chapter 6: Unexpected Shopping Spree

Luke was determined to change his appearance and start living like a wealthy person. He drove to the biggest shopping mall in the city, where he had never been before. As he entered the most expensive designer clothing store, an elder shop assistant blocked his way and asked him to leave, thinking he couldn't afford anything in the store. She said we have closed sir with a loud tone

But then a younger assistant came and saw that Luke was interested in buying something. She showed him around the store, though she didn't believe he had enough money to purchase anything. Then, a middle-aged woman entered the store with her young male lover. The elder assistant quickly introduced them to the younger one and taunted Luke for being overwhelmed in a store meant for the rich.

Luke looked at the group of people who were taunting him, and his eyes flashed with a hint of amusement. He knew he didn't need to prove anything to them, but he decided to have a little fun.

He took out his phone and showed them the balance in his bank account, which was far beyond what any of them could ever imagine. The group was stunned into silence, and the elder assistant's face turned pale.

"I apologize for the misunderstanding. Please continue with your shopping," the younger assistant said politely.

Luke nodded and turned to the racks of designer clothes. He picked out a few suits, a couple of dress shirts, and some casual wear. He also selected a few pieces of jewelry, including a watch, cufflinks, and a necklace

As he made his way to the cashier, the elder assistant approached him hesitantly. "I'm sorry for what I said earlier. I didn't mean to offend you," she said in a small voice.

Luke smiled kindly at her. "It's okay. I understand why you might have thought that. But never judge a book by its cover," he said, handing over his credit card.

The elder assistant swiped the card and looked at the screen in amazement as the transaction went through. She handed him the receipt with a shaky hand, and Luke took the shopping bags and headed out of the store.

As he walked through the mall, he noticed people looking at him in a different way. They seemed to recognize him as someone important, and some even approached him to ask for his autograph or to take a selfie with him. Luke smiled and obliged them, enjoying the attention.

He decided to take a break and went to a café to grab a cup of coffee. As he sat down at a table, he overheard a conversation at the table next to him. It was a group of young professionals, discussing their work and their aspirations.

One of them said, "I wish I could be like him. Rich, successful, and powerful. He probably didn't have to work hard for it, though. He was just lucky."

Luke felt a twinge of annoyance at the comment. He knew how hard he had worked to get where he was, and it wasn't just luck that had brought him to this point. An orphan who has totally being transformed by my family's wealth and they sit there to talk about what they do not have a slight idea about.

He stood up and walked over to their table. "Excuse me, I couldn't help overhearing your conversation. I just want to say that success isn't just about luck. It takes hard work, dedication, and a willingness to take risks. Anyone can achieve their goals if they put their mind to it," he said, looking at each of them in turn.

The group looked at him in surprise, and one of them stuttered, "I-I'm sorry if we offended you. We didn't mean-"

Luke held up a hand. "No need to apologize. I just wanted to share my perspective. Good luck with your careers," he said, walking away.

As he left the café, he felt a sense of satisfaction. He had always wanted to use his wealth and power for good, and he knew that he could make a difference in the world.

He got into his car and drove off into the city, feeling like a new person. He was no longer the poor boy who had been taken in by his grandfather's wealth. He was now a man with his own wealth, his own power, and his own destiny.

As he drove through the streets, he looked at the buildings and the people around him with a new appreciation. He knew that he had the means to make a difference in their lives, and he was determined to do just that.

Luke had in heart the wellbeing of people who are struggling to make a living and he had inherited that from his parents for they also happened to be generous people.

Whenever Luke drove pass this people he felt sad within, so he decided one day to go near them and ask of how they have ended up on the streets.

He got to find out that most were layed off their works due to some loans they could not pay and others from accidents which caused their homes to get burnt,.

Luke got to the house and asked to employ some people to work for the company so they could also make a living for themselves.

His Grandfather didn't hesitate to grant him his wish fir it was really thoughtful of him to have in his heart the wellbeing of the poor and not to treat them any how as other rich people do treat others.

For his generosity, he was well known to others for the people around the vicinity never stopped mentioning his name and how he has been off help to them.

Luke found delight in helping the less fortunate. Something that his ex-wife's family could have done just to make him who they really wish for him to be ,but they rather managed to find a way to get rid of him , Luke always becomes sad whenever this thought crosses his mind but he had no plans of getting his wife back because she really chooses David over him.
