A Sense Of Doubt
Lucas gave a deep silence looking into the detective eyes who were eager to hear a response from him. She started into his eyes as if she was seeing his response into his eyeballs. Lucas also stared back into her eyes without a blink at all.

"Sir Lucas, are you still here?" She snapped her fingers on his face.

Lucas blinked his eyes and came back to his consciousness, "Yes! I'm right here with you."

"But, you didn't say anything to me at all. Are you thinking about it? Is it really bothering you so bad?" She looked at him with so much empathy.

"I don't want to see Alex in that state anymore. He deserves the best and I'm trying so hard to make sure he leaves the prison yard." he poured out his distress to her.

The detective gave him a side look and chuckled a bit, "Sir Lucas, you don't have to show so much love to someone that doesn't even value you that much. Didn't you see the way he raised his voice at you? If I didn't intervene at that time he would have done something worse."
