Lucas wasn't even expecting James to throw that kind of question at him at all not because he was avoiding it but because he didn't want to start getting worried over certain issues.

“Think about it, man. Do you think Micheal also doesn't want to track him down? Why do you think he was desperate to help you when the need arose? Huh?” James felt so relaxed asking him every tiny little detail that would make him reconsider his answers.

James shrugged off his shoulder because he knew what Lucas was planning to do from the question he just asked him.
