Chapter 438

“I can call my friend to help if you don’t mind,” Nathan said. He wanted Lisa to get up and then he would lead her out of the lounge but if her body was too heavy for her to move, he wouldn’t have a problem asking Charles for help.

Lisa laughed out loud. It was the first time Nathan was hearing her laughter resound and for a moment, he thought about the impact the alcohol had on her tonight. It exposed her true feelings, made her realize his worth, and right now, he could see right through her.

“I texted my driver. He should be here in five minutes.” She slurred and hung her head to the right.

Nathan leaned toward her. “Are you sure you’re not saying this just because you don’t want me to take you home?”

She stretched her hand toward the table without even looking at it. “There. My phone is right there. I turned it off when I got here but a while ago, I turned it on so I could text my driver.”
