William added, "We've always said he wasn't good enough for you, Ava. This just proves it."

Ava felt tears welling up in her eyes. "I can't believe you two. Ambrose has done nothing but try to make things better today. He was worried about me and made me leave rather than staying to take the blame. You don't know him like I do.”

Ava rubbed her hand through her hair, her voice trembling. "What do I do?"

Elizabeth, her face lined with concern, asked, "How much does an Audi cost?"

Ava sighed heavily. "It would be more than $100,000, which we can't afford."

Elizabeth's eyes widened in shock. "Oh God, what do we do now?"

Elizabeth, still holding Ava, asked again, "Wait, aren't you supposed to just repair the car? Why does she want a new one?"

Ava shook her head, frustration evident in her eyes. "The lady demanded a new car because hers is brand new. She said a repair wouldn't be enough.”
