Sophia was shocked at the tone Alex used on her. That has never happened before. She contemplated leaving him alone like he demanded but kicked against the thought immediately. She wanted to make things right with her best friend. Alex sat in his office waiting for Sophia and Jayden to walk in. He knows them well enough to know that they will come and question the decisions he made earlier.
