Alex stepped into the store while Alfred waited by the entrance.

As soon as Alex entered, the cold air greeted him, and the exquisite jewelry immediately caught his attention.

The store was lavishly decorated, from the ceiling to the walls.

"Let’s choose the most expensive piece here for Sophia," he thought, eyes sweeping over the glittering jewels.

"Would she prefer emerald, or diamonds?" he mused, his gaze drifting over the dazzling array of gems.

"Tommy, baby, don’t you think I’d look stunning in these earrings?" she nudged the man. "Will you buy them for me, sweetheart?"

Didn’t she know how to read the room? The Wolfsbane family was on thin ice, and the Eden Group wasn’t just some local company—it was the largest Group in Winchester. For a family like theirs, even being noticed by Eden was a miracle. To talk about deals was like a fly demanding a seat at the king’s table.Beatrix smirked, her voice dripping with scorn. “Sofina Scheinwald, do you honestly think you can land a deal with the Eden Group? Keep dreaming. It’s impossible for someone like you.”Annabella leaned forward, sneering. “Who do you think you are, Sofina? You think Eden Group belongs to your husband? Your reckles

“All of you!” Baroness Wolfsbane’s voice cracked through the hall like a whip. Her face flamed red with fury. “So now I’m the idiot? The only one still trying to hold this family together? Have you all completely lost your damn minds?”“Grandma,” Beatrix said carefully. “We’re talking about the Eden Company. Even Kruger got thrown out. What chance do we possibly have?”The room fell silent. Everyone avoided her eyes.Beatrix went on, sharper now, “None. Let’s be smart for once and chase something that actually makes sense. Not this.”Baroness Wolfsbane’s eyes flashed like steel. “Do none of you have the guts—or the confidence—to take Kruger’s place at Eden?”No one moved. No one spoke. The air was thick with tension.Alex started to raise his hand with that trademark smirk of his, but Sofina caught his wrist and shook her head—subtle, firm.Don’t.The Baroness’s patience snapped. She slammed her cane against the marble floor, voice rising.“Listen to me, all of you! Whoever secures th

“Jerk!” Nikolaus shouted, his voice echoing across the parking lot. “Don’t mess with me, return my car!”Alex didn’t even flinch. He turned his back and started walking away, calm as a man who’d already won.“I’m not playing with you,” he said. “The system recorded our bet. It’s automatic—government protocol. You lost, Nikolaus. That means your car transfers to me. I didn’t have to lift a finger.”“You’re half a slave,” Annabella snapped, stepping forward. “You’re not even allowed to own any property!”Alex smiled. “You’re right. That’s why the car’s under my wife’s name now. Sofina.”He glanced at the luxury flying car behind him, then back at them. “You two should probably call a taxi. Or walk. And hey—thanks for the car.”Nikolaus’s face flushed crimson. His day had already been hell—his family collaboration got canceled, his father tore into him, and now this. Losing his car to Alex was the final nail. Fury took over reason.“You bastard!” he roared, charging at Alex. But Alex had

“Look at you,” Marlene said coldly. “So arrogant, so blind to your place in this world. Now, you haven’t just offended the important people. You’ve offended me too.”“So what!” Nikolaus snapped. “You have to return every contract with the Krugers, or we’ll sue.”“What if I don’t?” Marlene asked, calm and dangerous.“Then you’ll watch the Eden Group get torn apart by the Krugers.” Nikolaus’s pride flared; he refused to look small in front of Annabella.Marlene smiled like a razor. “Fine. You go your way. I’ll go mine. Let’s see which one of us ends up destroyed today.”Annabella exploded. “Who do you think you are, bitch? The Krugers built Eden up—do you forget that? You want to kick them out now? Let’s see who falls because of that. Nikolaus, sue her. Make them pay for breaching the contract. Let them go bankrupt!”Nikolaus pressed his bracelet, voice cold. “You’d better change your mind before it’s too late.”“I’ll warn you the same,” Marlene said, fingers on her own bracelet. “If yo
