The loud gunshot made Rihanna round her eyes as she sat limply staring at Kaiden, and even the hug on her daughter's body slipped away.

Rihanna's heart seemed to stop beating for a moment, along with the gunshot. She had seen David take the gun and point it at Kaiden when she thought he was just going to threaten her, but she never thought he would actually fire the shot.

"Kaiden!" Rihanna shouted loudly. She was terrified at the thought of Kaiden's current condition.

Her breath was coming in fast, and her heart was beating weakly, making her condition very irregular. Even though she hasn't gotten a response from Kaiden yet.
