32. Trying To Come Back to The Past

"Why did you sound like you were suspicious of me a few days ago, Matthew?" asked Jansen in a serious tone.

Matthew automatically raised his eyebrows and felt a bit guilty after asking about it. He then turned his gaze in another direction as he let out a long breath.

"I'm not suspecting you, but I just feel strange when I see you feeling so guilty," Matthew said.

Jansen didn't answer anything. To be honest, he didn't really feel offended by Matthew's words. It was just that he was too nervous to react defensively.

"You shouldn't bear the burden of something you didn't do, Jansen," Matthew continued his words with a comforting smile at the end of the sentence.

Somehow Jansen felt touched by what Matthew said.
