Chapter Forty Four

“Lena!!!! Get your lazy ass down here this minute!” I heard my mom’s voice yelled in a high pitched tone from downstairs; all in the name of I’m late.

I said nothing in reply than roll my eyes against my reflecting self in the mirror; I know she can’t see me so I’m freely allowed to do that. I took one more look on myself before going out of my room finally, sauntering downstairs to where they were all waiting for me; my sweet family of four, a family where I was the strange one.

“Morning mom, morning dad.” I greeted the both of them, taking a seat beside my younger brother; Mason. I ruffled his hair before poking his nose, muttering why he hasn’t greeted me yet.

“Young lady we need to talk about your all the time Lateness.” A crazy person I always calls my best friend spoke up from nowhere, putting obvious emphasis on the Lateness word, her voice light and still the same.

“What are you doing here? We agreed to meet by that…..” I said with my lips pressed toget
