Marcus stormed out of the room, still fuming with anger. He couldn't believe Amayah had tried to seduce him, and her shameless behavior disgusted him. With a hiss, he dressed and stepped out of the room, leaving Amayah kneeling and begging for forgiveness.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me, please don't chase me out of the house," she pleaded, grasping at his legs.

But Marcus was unmoved, and with a bitter laugh, he said, "Isn't it funny how the tables have turned? Just felt like yesterday, on my 23rd birthday, I was begging you not to leave me, and now...now you're the one desperate to stay."

His words trailed off as he walked away, leaving Amayah flat on the floor, her tears and apologies falling on deaf ears. She couldn’t believe how the hands of times had changed. She felt embarrassed she never believed she would be in this situation.
