"Father, don't tell me you want to share our family secrets in front of an outsider," John said, his voice laced with disapproval. The whole family turned to look at him, and his gaze met Marcus'.

"Who's that, John?" Their father asked, his tone stern. John's gaze lingered on Marcus, his implication clear.

"He knows himself," John said, his words dripping with disdain. The whole family's gaze followed him, landing on Marcus, and Their father stared at him, his expression unyielding. He had never liked Marcus, and with the current situation, he felt it was all because of him, viewing him as a bad omen.

"You're right, son," he said finally. "We can't discuss our business in front of an outsider."

"What, you both are kidding, right? He's my fiancé!" Sandra yelled, her voice echoing through the room.

"Fiancé, not husband," her father corrected, his tone firm.

"You must be kidding me. What the hell is this?" Sandra stood up, slamming her hand on the table, making everyone flinch.
